WTF IS BLUE PALMS?

We are presently casting for the lead roles and a number of surprise cameos. Please stay tuned for announcements.

Buddy Hickerson, Cartoonist
Creator of MR VENGEANCE, THE QUIGMANS, and contributor to HALLMARK’S first line of SHOEBOX greeting cards
Aside from exposing himself on a daily basis for two decades in his internationally syndicated cartoon THE QUIGMANS, Buddy Hickerson also has been a storyboard artist, illustrator, nude model, Cracker Jack toy surprise and international foreign relations expert.
THE QUIGMANS appeared in the New York Post, Houston Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, Paris' Courrier International and even The Jackson Hole Daily.
The cartoon has been collected in three mind-scorching books and appeared on countless cards and T-shirts. Whew.
You may also remember Buddy Hickerson as the creator of MR VENGEANCE some years ago, which caused eyeballs to melt in the pages of National Lampoon and is said to have inspired great American literary masterworks such as “Beavis and Butt-Head.” No, really. Mike Judge actually cited Buddy as an influence on WTF with Mark Maron! I know.
And hey, did you happen to catch Buddy's comic plays at the Improv in Dallas in the early 90's? If so, were you the guy that yelled, "Get a job?"
These days, Buddy resides in Hollywood, California where he has the occasional painting show and has toiled in the animation vineyards for such companies as Klasky Csupo, NBC/Carsey Warner and Revolution Studios.
Hunter Adams, Cinema Fiend
Co-creator of BLUE PALMS and LANGUAGE OF CINEMA; Writer/Director of THE HUNGRY BULL and DIG TWO GRAVES
Hunter Adams was raised in the north woods of Wisconsin. His film education began with his mother who introduced him to classical Hollywood films from masters like Hitchcock, Hawks, Ford and Ray to name a few. His studies continued at the University of Wisconsin–Madison under legendary film historian David Bordwell. But his education really broadened when he studied abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. It was in the dusty Cinematheques of gay Paree that he decided to become a filmmaker.
Hunter's first feature film writing and directing effort, THE HUNGRY BULL (2011) is a whiskey soaked comedy about obsessive love.
Soon after, Hunter directed the short film HOLLYWOOD BEAT (2011) about an out of touch vice cop struggling to deliver justice without going to jail himself. HOLLYWOOD BEAT won the audience award at the 2011 Los Angeles Comedy Festival.
In his most ambitious project to date, Adams wrote and directed the acclaimed DIG TWO GRAVES, a mind bending decade-spanning Gothic thriller. Culture Crypt called it “an astonishing achievement.” Hunter Adams resides in Hollywood, California.

Kim’s first job in Hollywood was as casting assistant for a 3D horror film about an electric guitar that kills people. Since then, her producing credits have grown to include films such as DIG TWO GRAVES and the 2014 surprise hit, GONE DOGGY GONE.
In addition to teaching art at university, Kim has collaborated on a number of episodic comedy series including DARWIN (SnagFilms) STAFF ROOM (Comedy Central UK), and GOODNIGHT BURBANK (hulu).
Kip Irish, Creative Executive

Hailing from Appleton, Wisconsin, he specializes in video/audio production and graphic design at Irish Creative. He also co-founded Burgoo films with Hunter Adams, where they worked on various projects, including THE HUNGRY BULL (co-producer/co-writer/co-editor) and JAKE'S CHOICE (producer).
Recently, Kip has written lyrics in collaborations with Chicago rapper Walter J. Liveharder, and singer/writer extraordinaire Sam Winch. He and Mr. Winch are currently writing a musical stage play entitled THE LULLABADEER.
When he's not busy working on the latest project, you can find him wandering the streets of Hollywood looking for a brat fry.
Kip is heavily involved in the making of BLUE PALMS. Taking on the challenges of creative producing, marketing, as well as contributing to the story and dialogue.

DIG TWO GRAVES
As you may know, Buddy did the storyboards and previs for DIG TWO GRAVES, Hunter Adams’ award-winning, mind-bender of a film. This stunning thriller was shot in Southern Illinois and we hear it is due out any minute on some kind of big-time movie site. More on that, later.
