Hi, I'm Kiki, the artist behind KikiDoodle. I love to create all kinds of fun, fantastical animal artwork to share with the world. And Today, I'm very excited to introduce to you my newest, biggest project: The Purrmaid Plush!
Purrmaids are mythical magic sea creatures who live in the oceans all over the world! They love hunting tuna, stealing fish from fisherman, and knocking over items when they're bored. They look up to Tiger Sharks for their gorgeous markings and sharp teeth. And they hate when sea cucumbers sneak up on them.
The Purrmaid Plush stands at almost 16" in height and is made of ultra soft Minky fabric with tons of embroidered details. There is also a real bell on its collar that jingles when it moves!
All Purrmaid Adoptions on this Kickstarter will be $30. After this Kickstarter project ends, Purrmaids will retail for $35.
Why Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a great and proven platform that allows me to reach out to a vast audience. Also, the Purrmaids want me to make sure they are able to find as many homes as possible!
Overseas production costs can be high, and Kickstarter will allow me to raise enough money to produce 500-1,000 Purrmaids in addition to backer rewards and other special items!
Siamese Betta Purrmaid UNLOCKED!

Budget Breakdown
All the work into making sure your Purrmaid arrives at your doorstep purrfectly with open arms can be very expensive!
Here's a general breakdown of costs.
Kickstarter and processing fees will account for 10% of the budget.
Shipping includes freight costs from the factory to KikiDoodle, and from KikiDoodle to You.

It's been said that many mysteries reside in the deep. Many have foretold that something lives at the bottom of the ocean, but is it even possible to reach that far into the abyss?
As we dive deeper and reach each goal, many more fantastical mysteries will be unlocked and told. But for now, we'll tickle your curiosity with the first few.

Risiken und Herausforderungen
We don't anticipate many risks or challenges, and our manufacturer is ready to begin production because our plush is completely designed. We do understand that there is always the chance of unforeseen delays in production, or shipping, especially with overseas manufacturing. I have added plenty of buffer on the project in case of delays, but it is my best estimation that the plush will ship far earlier than anticipated. As the project progresses, I will frequently update backers with pertinent information and cute snippets.

The Siamese Betta Purrmaid will unlock once we go over $12,000 in funding! At that point you can select ANY Purrmaid tier. At the end of the campaign a survey will be sent out so you can choose which Purrmaid or Purrmaids you want!

Every single Purrmaid species is unique and will be different mixes of cats and fish!
If the campaign is ultra successful we may release different colorations in the future, but right now we want to bring new species of Purrmaids to share with everyone!

Not for this campaign, but maybe in the future! Consider pledging at the custom art tier to get yourself a custom Grrmaid drawing!

Some popular requests for future Purrmaids in the future include calico cats, black cats, and tuxedo cats! The more successful the campaign the higher the chance is of new Purrmaids being discovered!

There are a LOT of Purrmaids to send out to adopted homes, and spreading out the orders into batches will help us when organizing order!

In this case, it's not that shipping is going UP but that I am able to ship out single Purrmaids at a very fair rate because I can squish them into a poly mailer.
All Purrmaid orders of 2 or more will ship via flat rate priority mail, which in my experience gets you your package fastest and safest!
For those backers who are thrifty there will be an option to ship out all of your Purrmaids individually, instead.
