WPGraphQL WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin and WPGraphQL extension that melds WooCommerce with the simplicity and precision of GraphQL.
How does the extension work?
Why use this over WooCommerce's REST API?
This comes down to speed and the advantages GraphQL has over REST in general. In all preliminary tests WPGraphQL-WooCommerce has responded faster WooCommerce's REST API. Each time to varying degrees, but always faster. As for the GraphQL > REST argument, there are several articles and demonstrates support this. Below you can find a few articles with much more information. If you need more try googling "GraphQL vs REST".
Will the project include support for WooCommerce extensions?
The extension will be extendable, and I will be more then willing to provide support for those wishing to do it.
Will the project remain free?
If the Kickstarter succeeds, yes. If not, I can't say for certain that I won't find a backer elsewhere who may want the extension to be made a commercial plugin. I'll be looking at OpenCollective in the future for continued funding after the kickstarter concludes.
Will you complete the project if the Kickstarter fails?
Yes, I as well as many I work with have a need for this extension.
Why do a Kickstarter then?
With funding, I can apply 100% of my time to this project, until project stability (v1.0.0) is reached.
Where can you see progress and get help or ask questions about the extension?
