On your turn, you will take two actions. With each action:
You can play a Scare invisibly (face down) to a Room, hiding your intentions...
OR You can play a Scare visibly (face up) to a Room, which gives players information but lets you trigger the Room's awesome power.
If you think the time is right, skip your actions to point at a Room and yell BOO! Any invisible Scares in the room are revealed, and if all the correct Scares are present to create the needed combo (counting all Scares in the Room, plus all Scares in your hand), then you frighten out the Ghost Hunter and collect their precious gear!
These simple rules create lots of chances for clever cardplay and tricky situations. When someone scares out their fourth Ghost Hunter, your gear collections (and any Skulls you've gathered) are tallied and the player with the most points wins!
The reveal dates are listed below, with some hints about the surprises behind those boards. Remember to come back to the campaign on those dates to see the details of each reveal in all their glory!
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 11th
Four new Rooms with unique powers take you deeper into the haunted house than ever before!
The Darker Corners Rooms (Armory, Master Bedroom, Stables, and Greenhouse) all have their own unique and awesome powers, just like all of the other rooms. Check them out, but then keep reading below!
Every Darker Corners room comes with two new features. First of all, see the stone wall at the bottom? It shows a "+ Scare symbol". That means that the Ghost Hunter in this room also needs that Scare to be frightened out, which means that these rooms are a little tougher than the others! The second feature is the Skull symbol with the "Bad Boo +" symbol. This means that when this room first comes into play, place a Skull token on it; whenever a Bad Boo happens in this room, add another Skull token to the room. Whoever frightens out this Ghost Hunter earns all the Skull tokens in the room!
TUESDAY OCTOBER 17th
16 new Scare cards... but with a special twist that will change the way you play!
Each player gets 4 Courage cards (1of each Scare type) shuffled into their own deck. You may only play Courage cards invisibly. When someone calls Boo and invisible cards are revealed, players get their rewards as usual, then any revealed Courage card will cause a Scare of the same type to be eliminated from the room! So evil! The Courage card is then removed from the game... so spend your courage wisely! This adds a whole new layer of uncertainty and sabotage that will really spice up your play!
TUESDAY OCTOBER 24th
8 new Phantom cards; four powerful allies that will make your rivals scream!
These special Darker Corners Phantoms are nasty and powerful, with amazing new art by Apolline Etienne! The Terrifying phantom will chase any Ghost Hunter right out of the house! The Possessing phantom lets you take over an opponent's phantom! The Wandering phantom lets you access any Room you want! And the Wild phantom can be used as any Scare! There are two of each Darker Corners phantoms included in the Deluxe Edition, and they will make your games more exciting than ever!
HALLOWEEN! TUESDAY OCTOBER 31st
Four challenging new Ghost Hunters for you to tangle with.
Meet the Professionals! This team of bad-asses isn't like the other Ghost Hunters. They are calm, cool, and unflappable. They take more Scares to frighten out of the house than your usual explorer, they earn a sizzling 5 Skull points, and they come with a random Phantom when you frighten one out! Not only that, every time a Bad Boo happens to a Pro, another Phantom is added to their reward pile. (They're very skilled at vacuuming up stray spirits, you see!)
Can you imagine running into one of these Pros in a Darker Corners Room? That would be a very challenging —and very rewarding— situation!

Our campaign is Canada, Australia, and EU friendly. Haunt the House will ship from within the US and UK. We use our manufacturing costs to send our games to you. This means that backers from Canada and Australia will not likely incur extra taxes because the game is below the tax threshold. If tax is incurred in the shipping of your game to Canada or Australia, please let us know by taking a picture of your receipt and sending it to us. We will reimburse you right away.

For this campaign we have decided to stick with what we know best. We are using the same team for Haunt the House that we used for our past two projects. All of the art and mechanics for the game are complete, so once this campaign ends, we'll be ready to roll.
We will be using the same fulfillment partners as we did during the Problem Picnic: Attack of the Ants campaign. We are optimistic that everything will go as planned because of our past experience. Our fulfillment partners are FunAgain Games in the US and Games Quest in the UK. We have full faith that your games will be delivered to you safe and in a timely fashion.
