All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. -Pablo Picasso
Remember when you were young, anything was possible. You believed everything, but you questioned everything. Your dreams were undoubtedly obtainable. It's that child like faith that drives us toward our passion of music every day.
Our vision, or direction, is soley based on those principles, of following your dreams no matter what the risk or consequence. For as long as we can remember we have been doing music. It may be all we know, but we would probably prefer it that way. This new e.p. is the perfect example of where we have been going the past few years, and it is more than exciting to us.
We hope with the help of family, friends, and fans we can launch this new era of our lives. Starting with an E.P. full of stories, perspectives, life lessons, grief, regret, and most importantly hope. We are asking for $2,000 which in retrospect is essentially less than half of the funding we will need to finish this record, but we are big believers in working hard for what you have, so we wanted to meet you all half way.
:the plan of attack:
Sept. 10th we will be going into the Vanguard Room in Lakeland Fl, with our friend (producer) Matt Wilbur to track our debut e.p. as kids. Shortly after tracking is done, the mixing will start. After mixing is done, it will be sent to be mastered. Then finally pressed and put up on itunes for purchasing. The cost of tracking/mixing is $2,400. The mastering will be around $1,000. The first batch of printing and pressing will be approximately $800 and we hope to print a round of 12" vinyls shortly after.
We can't thank you enough for even getting this far down the page to read about what we're doing. This is such an awesome platform that kickstarter has provided for artists like us who are able to get funding for creative projects and further more help support our passion for music. From $1 to anything you are able to contribute will not go unnoticed. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
