"Perhaps, you got to this page by accident. Clicking something your finger just happened to slip on. I dont believe in accidents, I believe all things have a purpose, and everything happens for a reason...
By the time this letter reaches you all, I surely, will have been dead for many years. My name is not important to you in your own time. Additionally, due to purposes related to my own protection, I will not give it. What is important for you to know is my work here, as a biochemist. And what that means for you...
What we are about to embark on my friends is a journey. A journey of the most perilous and pertinent of its sort. And you, you my friends have been personally invited to join us on the ride. A decision, that of course with patience, I leave to you.
If you choose to embark, I cannot guarantee you safety from mental or bodily harm, or so much as guarantee we all will return . What I can promise is this. The most thrilling and peculiar adventure of a lifetime, and the assurance that your life and place in the Universe, will never be the same.
My dear friends, what you are about to witness has never been seen and very well, may never be experienced again hereafter. What I submit to you is a project at the apex of mystery, nostalgia and love. You have entered the world, of The Millinnialz... "
The Millinnialz - A Webseries Epic, is an idea developed by Writer/Producer Olusegun Arigbede inspired by Drive-In movies, the antihero archetype and Post 9/11 Society.
A Message From The Producer :
My name is Olusegun Arigbede or just "Shay", and I am a Writer, Director, Editor and Producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Im writing this to go into detail about about an amazing web series we would like to introduce to the World.
I wanted to write and create a project that structurally pushed the Webseries model of storytelling forward, and from a narrative standpoint followed characters that internally were inherently good, optimistic, hopeful and idealistic. However, these characters lived in such a world where characteristics such as these were slowly suppressed and eroded away.
In order to survive, such characters would betray many of the values they hold as important to who they are and how they view their world.
I also wanted to deal with characters who were collectively, perhaps dismissive of their own lives or relationships maybe even completely unappreciative of these things. Their, "way", of life. Its order, perhaps security in its routine and their material things until they were completely gone with no foreseeable way of reconciliation or reconnection.
I always loved post apocalyptic drama, but I think I always was more concerned with the past and bygone present that brought about the "post" apocalyptic situation. What led up to this catastrophe? What events notwithstanding the current tragedy, have formed the characters we see? These questions were always the best to watch unfold to me.
Kickstarter users, our webseries is titled "The Millinnialz" as you know. Millinnialz lives in a world similar and is a cross of "Lost", "The Event", "The Twilight Zone", "Night Of The Living Dead" and your favorite "coming of age" film .
"The Millinnialz" is an action/drama which follows a group of art students who find themselves in the middle of a plot to lower the world's human population and are confronted with the task of figuring out how to stop it. If it can be stopped at all...
Currently our show is ready to move on to the production phase of the project and we are asking for your support. As It stands now, "The Millinnialz", is scheduled for a first season comprised of six ten minute episodes.
Our show features a storyline which will be very demanding on the production's Art Department for things like makeup effects and art, props, special effects, large scale costuming of extras & hair dressing, not to mention gallons upon gallons of fake blood.
Contributing to our pledge goal will help"The Millinnialz" team with the ability to pay for cinematic expenses such as location permits, set dressing, equipment rental costs for things like kino-flo lighting and stedicam rigs, memory cards and extra batteries, c-stands, fresnels, gels, ballasts, focus pullers, dollys & track, tripods, boom microphones, boom poles, lav microphones, sound blankets, viewfinders, monitors, light meters, renters insurance on such items, not to mention rental costs for the camera and lenses and food for the cast & crew on shoot days. Because people get ticked making movies on empty stomachs, just trust me about this (smh).
In addition to our remaining production phase, your Kickstarter pledge will go towards post production of "The Millinnialz" for picture editing and assembly, visual effects, color correction, audio mixing, ADR & folley and final distribution to the web, BluRay & DVD, and film festivals accepting narrative web content.
The problem with much of commercial filmmaking is the shear amount of red tape and protocol one must traverse in the hopes of getting a project created.
Kickstarter and the crowd funding model bypasses this. In return for your pledge we can promise to execute on what we feel is a strongly written script with a Cast & Crew of dedicated and motivated artists.
Confirmed Cast & Crew :

Risks and challenges
This project presents Production Design, Costuming and Set Dressing obstacles we are concerned but confident we can overcome. "The Millinnialz" features a crew comprised of talented people behind the camera hailing from Art Schools and Colleges around the U.S. Including San Francisco State Film School, USC Film School, FIDM, The Academy of Art University, Art Center College of Design and The Berkeley Digital Film Institute.
Our crew has been affiliated with projects that have been accepted to film festivals around the world. What we lack in awards, credits and of course funds, we compensate for in our ambition, enthusiasm, dedication and self confidence in our respective educations and personal preparedness.
The majority of cast & crew working on this project have dreamed of getting to this point, a point where we can truly have an opportunity to showcase to the world what we can do when we come together as cinematic artists.
With that, many of us also understand the stakes of this project and its outcome and we are committed to treating this project as If it could be our very last.
We would like to extend our thanks in advance to you, Kickstarter and the Kickstarter community of filmmakers, playwrites, actors, photographers, painters, musicians, inventors, novelists and fellow artistic contemporaries and users of Kickstarter. You all have been formally invited, into the world of... "The Millinnialz"!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
