Welcome to Keyando, a versatile card set for mindful reflection and inspiring play where your story counts.
Keyando provides a simple and elegant framework that helps us listen to others and get in touch with our best selves. The Keyando cards were developed according to the latest international research on human flourishing and happiness. Powerful in its simplicity and beautiful in its design, each Keyando card represents an essential key to unlocking happiness for ourselves and others. The 46 different “key cards” represent adventure, love, freedom, nature, security and everything in between. All that we think, feel, or do is related to one of more of these keys. Together they open a playful space for mindful reflection. The keys in Keyando are based on scientific research and do not correspond to any particular belief system.
These beautiful cards (7x12 cm / 2,76x4,7 inch) are designed to promote mindfulness, connection, and purpose wherever we go. The cards can be used for a daily inspiration, exploring life questions, or simply as a resource and reminder to be more present. Interacting with the cards puts us in touch with our thoughts, feelings, desires and needs. By listening to the key cards that speak to us, we get closer to ourselves while exploring our relationship to the world and others.
The Keyando cards can be used in a variety of different spreads and routines for encouraging mindfulness and getting orientation in our pursuit of happiness.
And the Keyando cards can be used to play a range of fun and inspiring games.
Keyando - The Game of Happiness
The Game of Happiness is a dynamic group card game that’s sure to cause laughter, thoughtfulness, and lively conversation. In this new game your story counts. It can be used to break the ice with new friends or to get closer to people we already know. If you like the games Activity, Dixit, or Truth or Dare you will LOVE The Game of Happiness.
Players can participate in The Game of Happiness in various ways, by telling stories, challenging others in the form of questions, or simply by playing strategically. Each round is filled with vivid discussions about your stories, beliefs and what matters to you. The game is perfect for get-togethers with family, friends, or workmates who want to get to know each other in a fun, new way. It’s great for parties and team building.
The Game of Happiness is designed for 3 to 6 players (Ages 12+). Learning the game takes 10 minutes, and playing it takes anywhere between 30 and 90 minutes.
THE RULES OF THE GAME OF HAPPINESS
One objective is to arrange the cards played in 4 rows of 12 cards each. The cards form a puzzle with a landscape on it.
At the beginning of the game, all players get 5 cards. Whoever plays all his cards first, wins. Going clockwise, the player next to the dealer starts the game. When it’s your turn you have one of the following options:
Lay down a card in front of a co-player and ask him anything you like about it.
For example, when you play the “Challenges” card, you could ask: “What means this card to you?”, or more specific: “What was your biggest challenge?” Your imagination is your only limit here. Especially when you play an angel or vampire card which can represent whatever you like, and allows you to ask whatever you want.
If you are satisfied with the answer, your card stays on the table and the player asked plays next as a reward. If the answer is refused the player asked has to draw a card from the pile and you must withdraw your card and it will be the next player’s turn.
Instead of asking or telling something you can simply lay down a card that fits to one which is already on the table.
It is possible to lay down several matching cards at once. If “Winning” is one of your keys to happiness this might be a good way to go.

STOP A TURN
When it’s getting out of hand or when someone is just about to win you can use a joker (angel or vampire) at any time, and then the next person clockwise will be on!
Important: If you interrupt a turn all cards played in that turn have to be taken back. Most likely some co-players will not be happy about that…
Part of the fun is to develop your own strategy in this highly dynamic game. No game will be the same, so it will keep you on your toes.
Angel and vampire cards are the most powerful cards in the game. They can stop any game situation, and the can represent whatever you like, when you are asking or telling something.
END OF THE GAME
Whoever plays all his cards first, wins! However, if you forget to shout „Keyando!“ at the end, you have to take back your last card (or cards) and you get an additional card from the pile!

The Wheel of Life
The Wheel of Life is a common tool for creating more balance in your life and rethinking and setting your goals. Using the Wheel of Life as a starting point, allows you to reflect how satisfied you are in the different areas of your life.
What you see above is an example setup of a nearly balanced Wheel of Life with the areas growth, love, friendship, family, security, health, working, and faith.
The Wheel is based on a scoring system from 1 to 10. Simply reflect and rate your satisfaction levels for each area out of 10, where 1 is closest to the center.
How you can work with the Keyando cards and the Wheel of Life in order to improve an important area of your life or to define your goals more clearly is described in the Keyando-Booklet in detail.
My Keys is about answering the question: “What are my keys to happiness?”
Shuffle the cards and place one after the other face up on the table. Place the cards to the top which appear important for you. Place a card at the bottom of table if you think is not that important to you.
Make up your mind about each card within 3 seconds, decide spontaneously.
When you’re done, take your time to look on the cards on the top and select just 7 cards of which you think that these are your essential happiness keys.

António Piedade: António is a professional artist, and is responsible for illustrating the Keyando cards. Since he was young, he showed great interest in art, especially drawing and painting. In 2004 he studied visual arts and multimedia at university. He is inspired by artists like Egon Schiele, Toulouse Lautrec and Edward Hooper. In 2009 a passion for illustration grew in him, alongside the challenges and the freedom that come with it. Since then he’s been working as a freelancer for different companies and individuals for projects such as book covers, illustrations, infographics, and graphic design.
Dirk de Pol: Living in Berlin, Dirk has a background as art director, designer, life coach, business consultant, and entrepreneur. After studying humanities, Dirk worked for different educational institutions, for example as Editor in Chief of akademie.de and as CMO of TELES European Internet Academy AG. He is CEO of Pandavia GmbH in Berlin which publishes Keyando. He came up with the idea and works with António Piedade to make it a reality.

Risks and challenges
We are teaming up with ASS Altenburger - one of the most renowned European playing card printers based in Germany - (we have worked with before) to ensure we can deliver high-quality cards on time, and on spec. We are confident in our ability to deliver Keyando quickly and on time. Nevertheless, unforeseen events may affect how quickly orders are fulfilled. Our goal is to ship the Keyando cards on time, by the dates listed on the pledge levels. The delivery times will vary according to your local postal services – once we ship, the shipment is the responsibility of the shipping company. If tracking is important to you, please let us know via the Kickstarter messaging system and add 4 € extra to your pledge. Informal currency conversions made during this campaign may not be accurate when you read this. Warning: Do not attempt to solve life problems with the Keyando cards. We do not take responsibility for any breakups, thrown objects, or apologies caused by the real emotions that may surface when playing or using the Keyando cards.
