Figuratively Jump Into the TimeWatch Art!

We'd say literally, but you might bruise yourself. Hey brand new backers, hi! You can grab the Jurassic Edition of the game from Update #1, and you can head to the Comments to vote on the ongoing struggle for dominance between two horrendous non-human adversaries. Really, everybody wins there.

New Pledge Levels

We've changed one pledge level and added 3 more.

  • It's the gift that keeps on staring you in the face, never aging, always young! The $175 tier "Cameo Appearance" now lets you put yourself or a friend into the TimeWatch art. Heck, you could even add a celebrity, but if you ever wanted to see an image of your best friend, your GM or yourself in a Roman coliseum, riding a dinosaur or getting devoured by time bears -- or all at once -- this is your chance.
  • We've added a tier for folks who want a copy of both the standard rules and the Utopian deluxe limited edition; another tier for people who want to come to Boston, eat BBQ and game; and a tier for backers who want to develop chronal horrors and bestiary time-monsters

New Stretch Goals

Our next stretch goal adds a 5th postcard to the $55 tier and higher, but let's see what else is coming up. They aren't all priced yet, but we've got new goals posted!

LOCKED: $52,500: Time Seed 1, by Jason Morningstar! No waiting involved, we'll publish a short "time seed" adventure hook that you can immediately grab and use for inspiration. These will be compiled in a PDF (or possibly the main rules book) once the campaign is over. You can find more of Jason's work in the remarkable games Fiasco and Durance.

LOCKED: $53,000: Sound Effects! TimeWatch Backer and sound designer Wes Otis of Plate Mail Games is providing a collection of superb weapon sound effects for use in your TimeWatch games. Toss them on your phone or laptop for easy access, and you'll no longer need to make "pew pew pew!" noises when firing a beam weapon.

Ahem. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

LOCKED: $54,000: Time Seed 2, by Jim Groves! We'll immediately publish another short "time seed" adventure hook that you can grab and use for inspiration. These will be compiled in a PDF (or possibly the main rules book) once the campaign is over. Jim is a long-time freelancer and author for Paizo's Pathfinder adventures.

Already announced: $55K is a recorded actual-play session run by me, and the magnificent $60K is Chris Lackey's TimeWatch: Mythos, full of Lovecraftian time-traveling horror. Following those...

LOCKED: $70,000: 96-page Campaign Supplement! You asked for more content, and you've got it. This supplement will be full of loosely-linked adventures by a variety of fantastic authors, with adventures that are playable in any order. All Kickstarter backers of $25 and more will get the PDF for free, and we'll also make a softcover physical version available to purchase as an add-on.

LOCKED: ????: Campaign Style Expansion 7: Parallel Worlds! Forget time travel. Instead, you'll step from one parallel universe to another in this world-shifting campaign expansion inspired by Jack L. Chalker's G.O.D. Inc. series and the classic TV show Sliders. Veteran designer Dave Chalker is taking the helm on this one, creating a society where corporations use parallel universes for their own gain and you'll never know what to expect next.

LOCKED: ????: Full Color Rulebook. Turning the black & white art of TimeWatch into full color is expensive, sure, but that's what time machines and compound interest are for. If we hit this (not yet revealed) goal, we'll upgrade TimeWatch to a full color book for free.

Updated Battle Report

Sophosaurs are stubbornly $898 ahead of the ezeru, proving that you have to get up pretty early in the era to outfox a brilliant psychic dinosaur. Note that we have special ezeru vs. sophosaur art coming up soon... no, REAL art. Unlike this chart.

$898 ahead, the sophosaurs uses deadly psychic powers against an advancing ezeru. NOTE: actual psychic powers probably don't look like the above artist's conception, in that they're probably more effective than pixelated rings.

Keep spreading the word!

I think we will. One can never count one's chronal chickens before they've clocked in, of course, but I want to see it in the game! The question is, how many folks are procrastinating 'til the last 48 hours, and how big will our end surge be? It really depends on how much the game gets talked about.

      This is fun!

I REALLY hope we make it to the Parallel Worlds goal.
