As we launch into the weekend, we'll have a big Update on Monday -- incredibly fun mini-goals, our decision on the next huge Stretch Goal, and much more. This evening, though, I want to flag some useful things for you as you head towards what for many of you is your first TimeWatch playtest game.

Free Adventure!

Ether UK has posted another free TimeWatch adventure in the Pelgrane Press G+ community, this one constructed from remarkable plot hooks that he's fit together beautifully. And you saw his Edgar Allen Poe adventure, right? Go grab it!

What Do You Love Best?

When I talk about TimeWatch (or really, any game I love), I'm finding that there's a way that works wonderfully and a way that doesn't. Saying "there's a new Kickstarter for a time travel game" may or may not catch someone's attention. Saying "there's a new Kickstarter for a time travel game, and I love X about it" almost always works. Your friends don't care about a game they've never seen, but they certainly care about you. So tell people what you love best*. When you say "if your character's getting her ass kicked in a fight, her future self can come back to help her," or "we arranged to have the sphinx's face carved in our own image" (as happened in one playtest), or "play the Pulp version and your uplifted gorilla super-scientist could lead an army of apes into battle," you're going to get your friends' attention. And then you'll have more people to game with. And that, frankly, makes me happy.

Also, tell me what you love about TimeWatch. Because then I'll add more of it into the rules and adventures, because I'm a sucker like that.

Initial Survey Results

Based on a day's worth of responses about what big stretch goal we should implement first, you told us:

  • 18 votes for a GM screen first (5%)
  • 144 votes for a full-color book (38%)
  • 213 votes for a 96-page campaign supplement (57%)

With the campaign supplement the clear forerunner, we'll probably tackle that as our next huge stretch goal, and then add full color for the main rules near the end of the crowd-funding if we get up high enough. I'll confirm that next week. GM screen folks, you'll be getting the GM screen inserts at the very least (assuming we hit that stretch goal -- tell your friends!), so you won't be left bereft. Thank you, everyone who responded.

Ezeru Über Allies: Updated Battle Report

A fantastic showing for the roaches during the last day, as they shot upwards to within $394 of the sophosaurs. Will they continue to gain? Find out next week!

Have a fantastic weekend. Holler with play reports.
