About this project
What is novlr.com?
Everyone loves good stories. Novlr.com will be a place for creative people to write and share good stories together.
Users contribute to stories in real time. The community will choose the best contributions until the story is finished.
How does it work?
The actual functionality will be determined in the BETA launch of novlr.com. During this time, those of you who have become BETA testers will help sculpt and define the best way for novlr.com to work. (which is why you should become a BETA tester!)
The Game Plan
A user will write, and submit, their continuation of a story. The community then votes on the best one, and the highest rated submission becomes a part of the story. This collaborative writing continues until the book is finished, as determined by the community.
Throughout the process there will be milestones for a story to hit for the story to be complete - all the critical points to short story writing: Introducing Characters, Initiating Action, Rising Action, Climax, and Falling Action.
We don't just want lots of words, we want pretty pictures too. Artists, designers and illustrators can submit cover art and/or illustrations for the stories. These are also voted on by the community.
Me, a Published Author?!?
Yep. That's the plan. Eventually, we will have enough great stories to be able to publish an actual book! If you helped contribute to one of the stories, you're name will be in it. We’ll also have eBook versions available.
How Your Support Will Help
The money raised from Kickstarter will mainly fund marketing efforts (ad campaigns, promotional events, etc.) Word of mouth is a huge value, but we also know that a solid marketing campaign can make all the difference in creating a successful launch.

We're just beginning development and hope to have it ready for beta testers this fall. After testing and tweaking, we want to go live by the first of next year.
