Our Kickstarter is now over, but you can still order My Life in Chapters on our website: www.keeptake.co.uk.
Isn't it strange that our experiences and memories define who we are, and yet we do nothing to stop them from fading away? We're on a mission to change that. We want to help make your memories everlasting in the easiest way possible, so that you can value your experiences and live with purpose.
My Life in Chapters is a ten-year guided journal that captures the very essence of who you are each year—everything from your small habits to your great passions and most prized memories. The result is a perfect summary of a decade of your life that can be treasured forever and read back in its entirety.
Used alongside subsequent volumes of My Life in Chapters, you'll create a library of your life’s defining moments that you and your family can forever look back on with fondness and gratitude.
Each chapter is made up of twelve pages with a mixture of guided entries, including:
- Quick-answer questions
- Extended note sections for recalling important events, experiences and adventures
- Free-writing section
- Space to stick in photos and keepsakes
- Ten chapters per book | One chapter = one year
The more we focus on the joy of memories shared with people around us, on who we are, on the experiences we have—rather than the stuff we can acquire and the things we don’t have—the happier we become.
It’s about valuing who we are, where we’ve been and where we want to go. It’s about valuing our connections with others above anything else. It’s about inspiring ourselves to live more adventurous lives, doing all we can to go against the tide of comfort and create memories that will forever make us smile.
We really care about the quality of the book. This is something that you’ll keep for years and will be passed on for generations to come. We’ve concentrated on using a durable fabric alongside high quality paper stock with a view to stand the test of time.
My Life in Chapters is available in 6 different colours, because a book as important as this should represent who you are. Which tribe will you choose?
Hello, we’re Prash and Jordan–a husband and wife team from Nottinghamshire, England.
We created My Life in Chapters after moving on from a particularly wonderful year—including our wedding, buying our first house and travelling around California—without wanting to forget all the amazing details and events of that time.
We wanted something with more value and distinction than a daily journal, which could be read back in one narrative and passed down for generations. We couldn't find any other journal like it, so, we decided to make it ourselves. Jordan is a graphic designer with a keen eye for aesthetics and usability, so we were able to get straight to work and create the journal we wanted to use.
We’re passionate about helping people value memories over things, whilst also being driven by the need we see in the world and wanting to use business as a way to bring a positive change.
That’s why we have developed our Get A Book, Give A Book programme, and also the reason we have designed our packaging to be minimal and plastic-free.
We love the idea of using business as a way to impact the world positively. We realise that we are fortunate enough to be living a life where we do not have to worry about basic needs being provided for us, but we know there are many people who are not in such a position as us. We want to use business to directly affect those people and believe that My Life in Chapters is our first step towards doing this.
Everyone deserves access to books. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for a lot of people in Africa, where there is a vast shortage of books and educational resources for students and teachers. We want to use business to bring a positive change to the world, so every purchase of My Life in Chapters will make a direct impact in someone’s life, by diverting a book from landfill and into the hands of those who need it the most.
We are raising £3000 for the initial print run of the books. This will help us to get up and running with the book manufacturing, as well as helping with a few logistical things such as packaging and shipping. We believe in this just as much as we hope you will, which is why the £3000 we are trying to raise is only half of the cost required for the first run, the other half is money we have saved and will be contributing to the achieving of our goal.
Thank you for considering backing our project. By doing so, you will get an exclusive discount on My Life in Chapters before it is launched to the public. The process is simple:
So far, we've put all our efforts into the bringing the book to life. We have designed the book ourselves and partnered with a manufacturer, laying out the full plans and materials for the book.
It is our hope that we will be able to deliver the journals to you in time for Christmas, so that you can give the gift of making memories everlasting. Production time, however, will depend on the amount of journals we order, and a larger order will need a longer lead-time. In the timeline above, we have therefore accounted for the longest lead-time we can foresee.
If our funding is successful, our aim is to be able to create further volumes (2, 3, 4 and 5) of My Life in Chapters in the future, enough to last you a lifetime.
*Orders of 4 Journals and above will be sent with a tracking number.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our project. We hope that you will become an early backer of our idea and by doing so;
1) Back the idea that our memories can bring more purpose to our lives than material things and,
2) Back the use of business as a way to bring positive change to the world in which we live.

Risks and challenges
The challenges with making such a high quality book are the very small details of the manufacturing process. We have gone through a very thorough process of interviewing several manufacturers before finding the perfect match. The company we are working with understands the standard we are aiming for and we are confident that we will be able to deliver.
The risks associated with producing a fabric covered book is that the prices of the materials are always rising and falling, we have accounted for this too.
If our Kickstarter campaign exceeds our wildest dreams and we have a high volume of orders, it may delay our shipping times.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
