The End Is Totally Nigh - #1
About The Project
It's a girl-meets-apocalypse story filled with demon hordes, quippy banter and more than a few bumpy twists and turns. The End Is Totally Nigh is a comic series that centers around a girl who discovers she suddenly has an unusual ability - the power to exorcise demons. It won't be long before she discovers her demon knack is not quite what it seems.
Issue #1 brings us right into the action with epic battles, demon baddies and a big apocalyptic prophecy. Fun for the entire family, right?

UPDATE: NEW CHARACTER SKETCH FROM VINNIE
Meet The Cover Artist - Tim Durning
I've worked with Tim on cover art in the past and he is incredibly talented and professional. You can learn more about him and see his beautiful artwork online at TimDurning.com! We'll be posting a preliminary sketch of the cover art soon, so stay tuned!
Meet The Artist - Vinnie Rico
Vinnie is an amazing, self-taught artist from Mexico. He specializes in character drawing and illustration. You can see more of his fantastic artwork online at http://vicente-rico.daportfolio.com/
Vinnie was the very first artist I worked with on this project. The stars did not align for us at the time, but we've recently reconnected and he's now officially attached to project.
Most of the funds pledged for this project will go to pay for his amazing artwork. I'll see if we can get a pic or a video of Vinnie soon, so you can learn a little more about him.
Here's is a cool page Vinnie illustrated that will go to the first 20 project backers! This is a limited edition print. I think it gives you a real taste of the quality of artwork you can expect! I also think it's pretty darn cool.
Why $1250 for the fund amount?
That's easy. The artist requires $40 per page (b&w pencil + ink). So multiply that fee by the number of pages (approximately 23) and you get $920.
Now add the cover art which will run approximately $250.
Now add in the money for the nearly 10% in fees that will need to be paid to Kickstarter and Amazon if the project is successfully funded and that brings the total to roughly $1250.
I've already spent quite a bit of money out of my own pocket just to get the project to this point, but I've run out of funds. This kickstarter project is a way to breathe new life into the project and make sure the artists get paid.
My goal isn't to make money. It's to tell a story that I'm passionate about and one that I think others will enjoy.
Okay, so what's the big plan? Will there be more issues?
I'd like to self publish the entire series for free online, using a print on demand service for physical copies that people want to purchase.
Until I discovered Kickstarter I believed the only option was to see if I could shop the story around to a publisher and hope it would see the light of day. Now, thanks to this site, I hope to be able to fund the first issue. If it's successful I'd like try to fund the entire series (approximately 15 issues).
Your contribution will help make a big difference.
