Colourful embroidered patches!
The embroidered patches I'm creating will NOT have an iron-on backing - I've found them to be very inconsistent in the past, and think it's better to have people sew their patches on with electric, bright thread of their choosing. You can also fasten the woven patches with safety pins or velcro!
Most of the reward tiers are straightforward and offer you one or both patch designs. Other rewards you can opt for are my "Comics Will Break Your Heart" hard enamel pin:
And an 8.5" x 11" numbered girl gang print:
My goal is to fund 100 patch sets, so there will only be 100 limited edition prints.
This is my first Kickstarter, but it's not my first time making merchandise - I know there's many of you out there who will want to get patches not only for yourself but for your friends, your loved ones, and possibly your cat. Instead of cluttering up the main page with tiers upon tiers, I want to keep this simple. When you pledge, add the extra amount ($9 per patch) to your total, and when the Kickstarter is successfully complete the survey will ask you how you want to be rewarded.
You can order up to a maximum of 10 sets.
In the amazing occasion that we go PAST the fundraising goal, here are some great stretch goals I've prepared that will be added on FOR FREE to everyone who has pledged at the 15$ tier or above! And if you want these awesome bonuses, you can always go back and increase your pledge. Help spread the work about the feminasty girl kickstarter, and these will become all the more possible!
- Stretch goal #1 ($1750): Feminasty girl holographic prism stickers
- Stretch goal #2 ($2000): Postcard set
- Stretch goal #3 ($2250): Upsized to 4" patches
- Stretch goal #4 ($2500): 8-page exclusive mini-comic
And if we continue to exceed the funding, I'll come up with more stretch goals!
Risks and challenges
While this isn't my first time making patches, this is my first time working with this supplier - they've been great so far and have provided me some seriously pleasing samples, but the unknown always contains risks.
The second issue I've had with the fulfillment of my previous pin project is shipping. I've calculated accurate costs this time, but I'm taking extra packing precautions against damage, and will be overproducing to a percentage to accommodate for lost and damaged orders.
I'm feeling confident since making patches is already within the realm of my experience!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
