Unity Outfitters was founded on the belief that what we put on our bodies matters as much as what we put in our bodies. Our bras, underwear, and slip dresses are produced using natural materials and ingredients that are toxin free and environmentally friendly. The entire collection is size inclusive, ranging from a size XS up to a XXXL, and our underwire bras range from cup size 30A to 45J.
Our first intimate apparel collection has been designed, cut, sewn, and naturally dyed by hand in North Carolina, this part of the supply chain all exists within a 50 mile radius. We currently employ a small network of single mothers to do our production sewing. Funding from this campaign will enable us to hire and train more women locally, providing them with the opportunity to better support their families.
Only 10% of global textile and apparel businesses are women owned and operated, our aspiration in building this business is to increase that percentage by sourcing all materials from those businesses. Through and through, our garments are made by women, for women. In addition to hiring and training new production seamstresses, through the success of this campaign we will raise the funds needed to buy new equipment and do our first in house production run of lingerie. We are excited to grow as a sustainable business benefiting North Carolina's textile and fashion industries, and invite you to be part of the beginning of this new chapter.

To further honor our commitment to supporting and empowering women, all of the pieces in this collection have been named for feminists who have inspired change and uplifted other women. We look forward to sharing these women's stories with you all through our blog, and we would love to hear and share your story someday too!
The feminist women our products are named for include: Josephine Baker, Audre Lorde, Bell Hooks, Maya Angelou, Assata Shakur, Linda Sarasour, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Angela Davis, Gloria Steinman, and Coretta Scott King.
We cater to be women who wear size xs to size xxxl in panties, and 30A cup to a 45J cup bra. We know that bra fitting can be a confusing process because some companies make it a confusing process. We keep it simple, your size is based on your underbust measurement and your bust measurement, all you will need to do is measure those two spots.
Once this project is funded we will send you a short questionnaire to determine what size bras, bralettes, underwear, and slip dresses that you wear to complete your order. If you have any fit questions, do not hesitate to get in touch, we are happy to help and excited to get you in the best fitting lingerie for your body.

About the Founder
Exchanges and Returns
Exchanges - We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If the product you receive does not fit you, you may exchange it for a different size. You will have to send the product back to us at your own expense, but we will pay to ship the replacement product back to you.
Returns - We hope that you are happy with your purchase, but if you are totally dissatisfied we will consider your request for a refund on unworn items. We reserve the right to deny any refund requests, and are unable to accept returns on any panties for hygienic reasons. If we do issue you a refund, it will not include shipping fees and we will deduct 10% because that amount was paid Kickstarter to cover their fees.
Risks and challenges
Our founder has over 15 years of experience working in the fashion industry, so we are familiar with the challenges involved in completing this project within the projected timeline. We promise to keep all of our backers updated about progress during every step of the process, and you all will be in the know at all times.
Our samples have been wear tested, and wash tested, so we know they are durable and of a high quality. We have also been working for over a year making prototypes in a wide range of sizes to ensure that we can fit as many women's bodies as possible without sacrificing style or quality.
It is expensive to produce sustainable and ethical apparel within the U.S.A., and we are selling this collection directly to you the customer (rather than through retailers) to keep the price down. Moving forward we hope to produce two collections at a time, one to sell through stores and one to sell direct to customers, but to get to that point we need to become more established. Through the support of people like you who purchase our products online and help spread the word about our lingerie to your network, we will grow, and continue to make exciting new products that are also eco-friendly, size inclusive, US made, and affordable. Thank you for being a part of what makes our success happen, we appreciate your support!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
