WE'RE FUNDED THANKS TO YOU! - You helped us make a NEW KIND of HISTORY book and app... one that's BRIGHT, COLORFUL, and MORE THAN MILDLY OFFENSIVE. And for that we are so very grateful.

The KandK Harry sibling team are back at it again! This time it's Tim's creation we are bringing to life. Tim Harry and colleagues Ian Ford, Ryan Bacchus have worked with KC Harry and the talented illustrator Laughtercraft to bring this project to life. As a group, we like writing, history, videos, tech, and making / appreciating cool art.

Well, Tim was sitting talking to his psychologist - more like swearing at him - and the psychologist asked, "When did you start using such foul language?" And just then, an idea was born!

'?*$@! - An Illustrative History IN Profanity' is a light and lively coffee table book and app that we hope will inform, educate and most importantly, ENTERTAIN! ?*$@! will contain 100 full color illustrations depicting famous moments from our world's history, liberally edited to highlight how certain events might have been frustrating to the point of cussing. WE WILL RETELL HISTORY - famous, important moments - IN PROFANITY. Most are factual, and some are famously fictional legends.

Our main character is someone we affectionately call ‘Joe’, for now, and you will see him in most of the scenes by Laughtercraft. One of our Kickstarter rewards will give one of you the honor of naming our protagonist. He’s gonna need a real name, for all the stuff we put him through in the illustrations. NOTE: We do not actually release F-bombs in the book. We use the symbols above - &*%^# has so much more potency as it's YOUR imagination that fills in the blanks.

Each illustration will come with a short 100 word synopsis of the humorous image, along with what we hope will be equally funny historical references. We chose 100 words because it allows a balance of providing the right amount information without taking away from one's appreciation of the artistic work.

The standard '?*$@! - An Illustrative History in Profanity' will be a 8.5x11 inch hardcover, but for the Kickstarter pre-orders we're also going to have them signed by the authors, and a few will be signed by one or two of the guest illustrators. We're unlikely to offer this rare opportunity after the Kickstarter campaign is finished, so you should get your copy here!
Why make this book? Well, IT BEATS RETELLING THESE STORIES WITH SOCK PUPPETS. And because we can! But mostly because the world really needs to %*&^! laugh and smile more.

?*$@! Yeah! And that's because we know some people do everything on their smartphones, including read, cuss and appreciate good art and laughs.
The History in Profanity App is a mobile app available on iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows smartphones. Right now the apps are all live. They are free for now and feature some of the illustrations and information about us and the kickstarter campaign. If our campaign is successful, the app will become a paid app, which will include:
1) The ?*$@! e-BOOK.
2) An regular UPDATE section to feature new illustrations submissions from anyone who wants to add to our repertoire with their new ideas (on approval of course).
3) The very best and most convenient BLEEPER button sound to edit out your foul language while you speak!
4) Links to our social media accounts.
5) A link to order the hard cover book should you miss the opportunity to pre-order one now!

3K Funding Goal Attained! - New 3D Print Reward Unlocked!

We see Kickstarter as the ultimate platform to showcase our creative ideas (Oh, hi Kickstarter staff!), and to secure pre-orders for work we just wouldn't be able to bring to life .
So, help us educate and entertain people around the world! Our goal is to get this book and app to every bored bunch of guys sitting around at the sports bar or in the living room watching tv this very moment, just wondering what to do next with their time. They need this book. And we need YOU to help us get it to them.

We plan to use the funds toward paying for the main and guest illustrations (yes, illustrators get paid! And they;re well worth it), editing, publishing, finishing the paid apps and distributing the book. Some of it MAY also be used to support a coffee addiction, and one or two visits to Tim's shrink. We will also be kicking it forward.

QUESTIONS?

Risks and challenges
This project has inherent risks, in the same way that if you wear your %*&^! t-shirt to church, you risk being asked to leave.
Here are some risks and our mitigations:
1) We have all the artwork in progress, and when the funds are raised we can pay for the rest of the illustrations.
2) We've written most of the book's artwork context pieces, so depending on the editor reaction (!!!), there should be no delays to getting the books to print and to e-book/ app formatting.
3) We've selected an editor and publisher, and they just want to be paid once they start the work (hence Kickstarter!)
4) US Postal services, the internet and Twitter need to still be around for us to deliver on our project commitments. The shut down of any of these 3 are just out of our control...
