I just added a new video that demonstrates how durable the Kaiyoot Game Shield is. I take it through a punishing compression test as well as spraying a garden hose on it. Who's afraid of a little water? Not this shield! Note: No cardboard shields were harmed in this demonstration. I couldn't do that to a board game!
After the campaign is over, a Pledge Manager survey will be used to pay for shipping and increase your pledge if desired.
The above pledges and shipping estimates display a mixture of both CAD and USD prices based upon the exchange rate of $1.00 CAD = $0.75 USD from June 13, 2019. This campaigns charges will be done in CAD currency so for a more accurate estimate of what you will be charged at the end of the campaign, please check the CAD to USD Exchange Rate at that time.
Kaiyoot Designs will be active in the comment section for the first 3 days (Mountain Standard Time working hours) and then will drop down to nightly comment updates for any daily questions/comments until the end of the 21 day campaign duration.
After the campaign has ended, Kaiyoot Designs will continue to monitor the comments on a weekly basis and will supply project updates as major achievements are made. If there are any delays, they will be communicated to the group immediately.
- Campaign duration is 21 days.
- The Pledge Manager survey will be sent out 2 weeks after allowing participants to increase their pledge (if desired) and pay for shipping.
- Kaiyoot Designs will order all required materials based on total numbers purchased. Approximately 1 month required for the raw material to arrive in Calgary.
- Manufacturing of the Kaiyoot Game Shields will commence. Approximately 2 months required.
- Shipping of finished product. Due to some of the shipping requiring the slow boat ride across the ocean, total time for all shipping will be 3 months or less. Those countries that do not require boat shipping will receive their games much quicker.
The Kaiyoot Game Shields are manufactured in Canada using materials sourced from Canada and the USA.

Risks and challenges
Kaiyoot Designs is a detail oriented company that has planned ahead to minimize potential risks. Much effort has been made to predict how long each stage of manufacturing will take with some padding for any unplanned accidents.
All materials have been sourced from within Canada and the USA to ensure a smooth purchase and delivery of the raw product.
All manufacturing will be done locally in Calgary to ensure Kaiyoot Designs can closely monitor and react to any issues that may happen while manufacturing the product.
Shipping will be handled locally for Canada, USA, and the rest of the world that is not part of the EU. This will involve using Canada Post and the USPS (United States Postal Service) via DYK Post for non-EU deliveries. The EU will be handled by Happy Shops in Germany in order to have the VAT and other import fees covered by Kaiyoot Designs. Since the product will be shipped to Happy Shops via boat, there is risk that due to weather or other unplanned issues that shipping could be delayed. In a situation like this, Kaiyoot Designs will communicate with Happy Shops and related companies to pass along the information to our EU customers in order to keep everyone knowledgeable on the situation. It is our belief that being up front is better than being silent, regardless if the news is good or bad.
