Monitor Gray Fans,

I am pleased to announce the launch of a new sci-fi film project from the producer of Monitor Gray. In May of this year I obtained the rights to Ben Bova's Mars trilogy, an epic journey of personal drive, exploration, and the ultimate discovery of ancient life on the planet Mars.

Ben Bova is one of the great science fiction authors of our time. Contemporary of Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, and Ray Bradbury, Ben has authored more than 120 books which take humans to every planet in our solar system and far beyond.

Directed by veteran Hollywood stunt coordinator and award winning filmmaker Christopher Leps, this film will merge the three novels, "Mars", "Return to Mars", and "Mars Life" into one compelling story.

Contributors and Fans of Monitor Gray,

It has been three years since Monitor Gray was completed and distributed to each of you, and two years since it completed the film festival circuit. This film project yet remains alive, as the subject matter only becomes closer to our modern reality each day.

If you have not watched Monitor Gray for a while, it is now available at Amazon Studios, Vimeo, and the Monitor Gray website:

Monitor Gray Film Festival Update: 2015 01/25

Update on film festival submissions: 7 rejections, 2 accepted, 5 undecided. Decisions dates for outstanding festivals are as follows: Jan 26, Feb 1, Feb 10, April 2, and Aug 17. I will not submit to any new festivals which take us beyond August, as I will be eager to release Monitor Gray into the public domain for viewing pleasure.

I do not take the rejection / acceptance rate, thus far, to be negative. Films are often submitted to dozens of festivals before accepted, before momentum is built. What's more, Monitor Gray is a little odd in that it is neither a short story nor a teaser, but what is designed to be the opening of a feature film.

There is a circuit for this kind of film, in which Monitor Gray will do well, I believe.

More to come ...
