About this project
"Shooting the Bride" is a docu-style web series of episodes for YouTube that follows a team of filmmakers as they shoot, edit and show a same-day-edit during a wedding. Picture the show as "visual pinterest" of a bride's wedding shot from the perspective of the filmmakers working to beat the clock and produce a beautiful account of the day or the couple and their guests. Each episode will give you an inside look into a unique wedding, awesome personalities of the bride and groom getting married and the filmmakers struggles as they try to create a high quality film for everyone to watch after dinner.
Here is a same-day-edit that we shot for Kelly and Filipe in Rochester, NY
We are doing a kickstarter campaign to help rally support for the show. We plan to shoot multiple episodes for this web series but that takes a lot of time, energy and people. We need money for crew, talent, equipment and distribution. We also plan on editing a "sizzle reel", a trailer of the show, so that we can try and pitch the idea of the show to TV Networks. We also want to create an audience of people who are interested in watching a show like this. So if this show sounds like something you could see yourself watching, please make a contribution.
Equipment Rentals: Cameras, lights, audio, monitors, rigs, batteries, memory cards, lenses, sliders and everything needed for production.
Travel & Transportation & Lodging: For cast and crew throughout shooting.
Crew Payment: Paying the day rates of the producers, camera department, audio department, production assistants, makeup/hair artists, editors, musicians and everyone else working on the project. We want to hire the most professional filmmakers and creatives on this project, especially during the day of shooting the wedding.
Craft Services: We have to feed everyone to keep them happy!
Post Production: The organization of files, editing of episodes, color correction of clips and processing of files. Music will be added to the episode and must be either composed or licensed. This all takes time and tremendous creative effort.
Promotion: We have to get the word out to find future couples, cast and crew for the show. We also need to let people know what we worked so hard on once the pilot is shot and ready to be pitched to studio or production company. Online hosting and other costs always arise when sharing and distributing content. We need to throw a dopetastic crew/cast show wrap party in New York City, NY.
General Expenses: Crazy things happen. We might have to buy rubber dinosaur at some point for some unknown reason.
Who are we looking for?:
We're looking for the perfect bride and groom to shoot our pilot about. This couple has to be fun, dynamic and quirky but most of all has to love our wedding films. We're looking for a pinterest-loving, fun-to-watch, progressive bride who wants to share her wedding with the world.
Why should you join the project?:
We promise that hiring our cinema team to shoot your wedding films will allow you to re-experience your most precious memories of the day years to come. We also promise that the shooting of this show will be a positive experience for you and your guests. If the integrity of your wedding day was ever put in jeopardy by our production we would always choose you first and foremost. It's extremely important to us that everyone applying for our show understand that we don't want to EVER take the focus of your wedding day away from you. Rather we would like to elevate and share your wedding day through our perspective in a fun and engaging manner.
Also, I should mention that we're giving away a $6,000 wedding package for free!

For this pilot we will have a team of three filmmakers shooting, editing and showing the same-day-edit wedding film. Kraig Adams is 1st camera, Mike Giardino is 2nd camera and an unknown intern shooter will take the role of 3rd camera. Please apply for this position through our email. Thank you!
To shoot the show we will have a team of professional filmmakers working together to create an exciting episode that follows the craziness of the wedding day. We want the crew to be as ninja as possible which might be 3, 2 or even just 1 actual shooter during the wedding day and a few producers working behind the scenes with schedules, communication and operations. Every wedding is different so how we shoot every wedding show will be different so let us know by contacting us at email@example.com. Thanks!
Each episode will feature a completely new couple and wedding. To keep things fresh, we will be switching out the filmmaker’s third shooter with a newbie every episode. We're looking to mix up every episode with a different type of wedding as well. Here are some of the ideas we had for upcoming episode concepts:
This show is being produced by two companies made up by filmmakers who love what they do: Kadams Media and Open Sea Studios.
Kadams Media was founded by Kraig Adams during the Spring of 2009 in Upstate, New York. Still in high school at that time, Kraig continued to shoot and expand the business to cover the entire New York State. After attending college in Buffalo, NY, the business was offering service to couples nationally. Now based in New York City, NY, Kadams Media continues to produce, shoot and edit wedding films as well as manage Open Sea Studios, a commercial film production company and Wedding Film School, an education platform for event filmmakers. We’re proud to use filmmaking gear from the following companies: Canon, Rokinon, Zacuto, Apple, Google, Manfrotto, Rode, Sennheiser, Shure and Zoom. Kadams Media prides itself on being committed to it’s primary values: authenticity, artistry and adventure.

We’re looking for companies and brands to be official sponsors of the television show. Please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Risks and challenges
Holding true to our core values:
We want to work with clients that let us tell their true story. In every aspect of the process of filmmaking authenticity is important because it removes barriers. By representing your brands and companies with honesty and integrity your videos will attract the clients who align with your true values and interests.
First and foremost we are artists. We want to create the best film possible but can only do so when you give us complete creative control. Trust us to interpret your story and then use our skill as artists to craft a film that we are proud of. As Filmmakers we are very serious about channelling styles of minimalism, simplicity, purity and modernism into a complex and engaging film.
We want to work with people who have a thirst for an adventurous life; those who take risks. The black sheep, the pioneers and the dreamers are the people we want to work with. We want to create an alliance with the rebellious on their quest to see the world differently, try new things and find the beauty in everyday life.
