Lots of news!

Hey Kickstarter Supporters!

It's been an exciting few months for Dancing in Jaffa. We had our official world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival. And then we premiered the film in Israel at DocAviv where we got to reunite with all the children and teachers--the true stars of the film. We won our first award at DocAviv for editing and of course the real prize was seeing the kids and their parents and how much they loved the film.

The good news doesn't stop there! Pretty Pictures has acquired Dancing in Jaffa for distribution in France and the film will be released theatrically there at the end of the year.

Also, Dancing in Jaffa will screen at the Sydney Film Festival on June 9th and then the Munich Film Festival at the beginning of July.

If you haven't recieved your T-Shirt and/or postcard keep an eye out. They're in the mail!

If you're still anxiously awaiting your DVD, the bad news is that it they're not expected for delivery until early 2014, but this is because of some VERY GOOD news. Dancing in Jaffa will be shown in theaters across the country before its officially released on DVD. Once it's released we will be able to send you the DVD you earned.

Check out the pictures below from DocAviv and Tribeca as well as a very special dance performance by Pierre and some of the students at DocAviv!

Great things are happening and all because of your generous support and belief in Pierre's dream. We truly wouldn't have reached this point without you!

As always, a huge and generous THANK YOU!

Hello and congratulations on all the success of the film! I was so happy to contribute to your Kickstarter. I am the director of Children's Film Festival Seattle, the most respected festival of international children's films on the West Coast. I would love to include this film in our next festival, January 23 to February 2, 2014, at Seattle's fabulous Northwest Film Forum. Would love to discuss this possibility with you — Many thanks!

One has to believe that bringing youth together to experience the joy of expression can only help to bridge differences----there is that hope that they will learn to see one another as more alike than different. I am very proud to be a part of this important project. CRB

I am so proud to be a part of this film! Thank you a thousand times for your efforts to get Israelis and Palestinians in communication through the arts. No matter what happens in their lives later, they will always remember dancing with the other children. Most people given a chance will naturally get along.
