A little about us:
Just Juice 4 Life, LLC was created with the intention to guide and inspire healthy living within the local community through nutritious, local, and organic juice and smoothies, along with educational workshops.
Our goal is to impact the community on a greater level and start a movement to eat and live better. We believe our community will thrive once they are enlightened that true Wealth is Health!
The past five years have been incredible, thanks to our loyal and supportive customers, and we are ready and excited to expand our juice services and production so that we can reach and serve more people in our community!
A little about Damaris:
Just Juice 4 Life owner and founder, Damaris Pinedo, started her juicing journey nine years ago when she took on the responsibility of primary caregiver for her cousin, who was in treatment for ovarian cancer. Damaris was a full-time Cytotechnologist (screening for cancer) at the University of Rochester, attending grad school, and taking care of her family. Under constant stress and exhaustion, Damaris felt lost, depressed, and completely unbalanced.
While researching dietary options for her cousin, Damaris stumbled across juice fasting and was intrigued for herself. She completed her first 10-day juice fast, and felt refreshed, renewed and REVIVED! For years, she suffered from severe digestive issues and accepted it as chronic. It wasn’t until she started juicing and changing her diet that she experienced the power of consuming fresh organic fruit and vegetables -- and had to share it with the world.
An idea was born.
About five and a half years ago (initially known as Foods That Feed), Damaris began by purchasing a 1970 Aristocrat camper, converting it into a juicing trailer. She decided to test it out at the local farmers market, which was a great place to make connections and develop a loyal following -- many customers who still come in today!
One year after the first market, the business had grown enough for a retail shop on Park Ave.
After two years in the Park Ave neighborhood and continuing to grow, Just Juice was presented with a great opportunity to share a space with a new locally-owned gym (M/body) on University Ave.
Although we are grateful for the collaboration with the gym, we have outgrown our current space and are ready to expand to keep up with demand. We are ready and excited to step it up and build out a new space with more storage and a larger production room to support continued growth.
We love our Rochester community.
Another major focus for Just Juice 4 Life is supporting local farmers, vendors, and small business owners. The money we put back into our community benefits us all, and it's something we feel quite passionately about.
Where the magic happens.
Each year we have pushed our limits and reached new heights. We are incredibly busy, but excited and blessed to have such amazing opportunities and wonderful people supporting us along our journey. We are eager to keep growing, spreading the word and love of juice! We are inspired daily by many of you who decide to take your life and health back into your own hands and have started by incorporating fresh juice and more plant-based foods. We must continue to empower others by providing the knowledge and tools needed to make more informed decisions -- especially when it comes to our healthcare.
With YOUR help, we know we will be able to help our Rochester community flourish and inspire other areas locally, regionally --perhaps even nationally some day!
Due to our current situation, our lack of space has forced us to buy smaller quantities of produce at a time which are set at higher costs. In order to support storage of larger orders and finally get them delivered directly to us, we need to ensure we have the capacity to hold such perishable produce. A walk-in cooler alone will provide the additional space needed to store larger orders which will result in a sizable monthly savings that will be reinvested back into the business.
Additional funding will also help support our goal to expand our juice services and increase production by building a separate production area and adding much needed storage. We are excited to finally have the opportunity to offer larger quantities and varieties of juice--especially in our to-go fridge so we can serve you better! This will also give us the chance to get ahead on juice cleanses and even offer enough in our to go fridge for people to start whenever they desire.
Now that we have secured our new location, 710 University Ave. in Rochester's historical Flatiron building we are excited for the buildout.
We have been saving up for this big move but need additional funding to help with the following:
- walk-in cooler $8k
- larger to-go fridge $4k
- commercial sinks (we need 6 of them!) $1500
- bulk juice bottles & lids $1500
- stainless steel prep tables $800
- commercial automated citrus juicer $800
- commercial cold press juicer $2500
- commercial Vitamix $1500
- new signage & labels $1600
- revamp Just Juice merchandise $800
- (2) door replacements $1500
- millwork/buildout $6k-$8k
STRETCH GOAL $35K.
With your support if we exceed our initial goal of $30k we have set a stretch goal of $35k. The additional funds will allow us the opportunity to convert the basement of our new location into an additional prep area with organized storage and additional refrigeration.
Please check out our backers’ rewards and see how you can become part of the Just Juice 4 Life familia!!!

Risks and challenges
After running a business for over five years, I have had a great deal of experience facing and overcoming challenges. Fortunately, I have grown from these experiences and in turn have become a stronger leader especially with the support of other local, small business mentors. I am confident my team and I are equipped to assess and prepare for any risk or challenges that may develop as the business continues to grow. Another challenge could be a delay in production for backers' incentives. Although I do not plan on this, I want to be realistic and prepared for any setbacks that may delay the process. I will be sure to keep everyone informed along the way! Thank You!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
