WHAT IS JUST BE NICE?
Just Be Nice (JBN) is more than an apparel company – it’s an international, social movement with a universal mission: leave the world better than you found it. With these three simple, yet powerful words, JBN uses its merchandise to spread its message, and cultivate kindness across the world.
It has always been our mission to be a global, social movement of kindness and in light of current events, the timing for Just Be Nice could not be more perfect.
Just Be Nice was born over 20 years ago in Tampa, Florida by its founder George Mason, who swore that the message came to him in a dream. From that day until the day he passed in 2008, it was his daily mission to wake up, put on a JBN t-shirt and plaster the message anywhere and everywhere he could. He put stickers on bus stops, park benches, cop cars, shelves in grocery stores – spreading the constant reminder to be nice consumed every part of his life. After he passed, his two daughters, Finley and Kat, decided to carry on the JBN torch to help push the message forward, and although George is gone, the practice has remained the same – spread the JBN message.
WHY WE CARE
Can you think back to a time when someone was nice to you for no reason? Do you remember how it made you feel? We bet the act made you feel pretty amazing and you’re probably getting all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. What if you could experience those feelings more often, and could not only be the recipient of those feelings, but the cause for them as well?
The moment you do something nice for someone or they do something nice for you – it changes the course of your entire day and that is a pretty powerful thing.
Being nice/kind is a ripple effect and those actions could literally change the world. That’s why we care – we want those feelings and actions to be an everyday part of life, and we are a vehicle for change.
JBN believes the world is aching for this constant reminder and is cultivating a wave of people dedicated to kindness. Instead of just talking about the problems of the world, we are doing something about them and would love for you to be a part of it.
HOW YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL HELP
Since its inception, JBN - with its mission to leave the world a better place than when we found it - has experienced positive organic growth solely through internal funding. However, in order to take JBN to the next level and reach a broader audience, we are in need of some additional funding to support this growth. This funding will be used to give the brand a fresh new look, engage in community and school involvement and awareness, create new merchandise, support our operational/marketing objectives, and start the JBN Foundation.
Our biggest challenge is having the bandwidth and resources to spread the JBN message on a global level. Here at JBN we believe that kindness has the power to transform the world and we want YOU to be a part of that transformation.
Risks and challenges
As a mix of entrepreneurs and business minded people, we understand risk management. We have done our best to mitigate any potential risks and challenges for this project, but building any brand can come with it's own set of unique challenges. We are prepared to overcome any obstacle that we might encounter.
We have researched several suppliers in the USA and specifically selected the most revered based on their reliability and the quality of their work. We are confident in our suppliers and vendors ability to deliver on both the inputs and delivery dates.
