What exactly is the JumpX?
Scootering has a passionate fan base, especially in the US, Australia and the UK. Despite this popularity scooter designs have mostly remained unchanged. The patent pending design of the JumpX is like nothing that exists on the market now, it is truly revolutionary. Imagine a pogo-style stick for vertical jumping and rear leaf spring which cushions landings, on a stable scooter deck to ride. Add fast grippy wheels and it’s a great overall ride.
The JumpX is a more forgiving ride for newer scooter riders. You won’t feel the road vibrations nearly as much (especially in your hands) and you can quickly gain confidence with your balance skills. You can also avoid any sudden stops from running over things like sidewalk cracks.
For riders who are seeking a performance experience which will allow them to do advanced scooter tricks, the JumpX has been getting rave review from all the kids who’ve tried our prototypes at skateparks, school yards, you name it. Because the combination of front and rear springs gives you bigger jumps as well as more time in the air, you can react, think through more tricks and stick those landings.
Introducing Kameron and Kyle Swinney, Co-Inventors:
Kameron and Kyle know their way around a garage as self-professed “gear heads”. At current count they have 10 muscle cars they are restoring. Kameron’s baby is his ’68 Charger. Kyle is partial to his ’70 Challenger.
Kameron and Kyle’s dad, Craig, encouraged them to tinker with cars to get hands on experience with how things work.Each had their own car to work on when by the time they were 10 or 11. What started out as a father-son past time around cars expanded into action sports and turned into a race between brothers to create the perfect scooter ride.
A couple years ago, when messing around in the backyard, Kameron jumped on the rear suspension leaf spring of an old car. It got the wheels turning and he set out on a more than two year journey to create a scooter ride that would deliver big air jumps and stability at cruising speeds.
So, is this technology REALLY different?
Yes, there is nothing like the JumpX on the market today.
An extensive amount of trial and error went into finding the perfect balance of front dual-compression springs and a rear leaf spring. Early prototypes included just a leaf spring platform which proved to be too springy and made the handle bars fly out of control. The Swinney brothers also experimented with internal and external front springs. Eventually, Kyle’s front spring design (inspired by a high performance pogo stick they took apart) proved to be the winner. Kyle earned these bragging rights.
One of the challenges of riding a traditional scooter is in order to jump a rider has to lift all his weight up off the ground. The beauty of the front dual compression springs means with just some downward pressure and momentum the JumpX delivers an explosive jumping ability not much different from a pogo stick. But unlike a pogo stick you are able to jump and ride over obstacles on any terrain.
To ensure smoother landings the rear leaf spring acts much like the rear suspension of a car, cushioning the jumps. There is a rear foot break and comfortable silicon hand grips.

Q: Does the JumpX require assembly?
A: Minimal assembly, you just have to attach the steering tube to the neck, place three bolts through the safety clamp and attach the rear leaf spring with a set of two bolts, that’s it, you are ready to ride. You can take a look at the assembly brochure on our web site, www.fuzionscooter.com.
Q: You mentioned the front springs are adjustable. Is this difficult?
A: Very easy, the JumpX comes with two different size spacer adapters that are inserted when installing the steering tube.
Q: Is there a weight limit for the JumpX?
A: We recommend that the rider be under 140 lbs.
****UPDATE We have received a lot of questions about this weight limit recommendation so we wanted to clarify. Although the jumping abilities of the JumpX are optimally designed for riders under 140 pounds this scooter can definitely be enjoyed by heavier riders. The heavier the rider is the more they will push the rear springs to their limit thus dampening the jumping height. However, you will still be able to experience the full suspension capabilities of the JumpX scooter and have a smoother more stable ride.****
Q: Are there other color combinations available?
A: At this point there are no other color combinations available.
Q: I'd like to get the scooter as a gift, what other gear do you recommend for a newer rider?
A: A helmet is a must, skateboard type shoes and knee and elbow pads are also a good idea.
Q: How will the JumpX scooters and other reward schwag be shipped out?
A: They will be shipped out either via UPS or FedEx ground.
