Be a part of the making of my very first EP.I am so excited to make my first record because of YOU! Can we keep this going? If we can raise more money we can do more things, like promotion, distribution, marketing and videos.
This all started with my love of performing in plays, and when my Mom and Dad got me my first cheapo Costco Yamaha guitar, I felt driven to write. When I wasn't practicing guitar, I was writing, and if neither, I was playing on my Nintendo DS. Anyways, since 2009, I've written over a number of songs. I've won some singing awards and had some great opportunities, like opening for Jeff Keith (80's band Tesla) in Roseville, California.
This July I had the amazing opportunity to professionally record my first original song with the amazing producer, Robert Berry of Greg Kihn Band, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Ambrosia. Even more I was vocally coached through my first song with recording legend Tommy Funderburk, former lead singer of the group Boston. And special thanks to my vocal teacher, Bobbie Ward.
Anyhow, my new song “Heart on My Sleeve” has gotten the attention of a LA manager who wants to hear the rest of the album. So me, my dad and producer have figured out the absolute minimum costs to record, produce and master a record that you'd want to hear.
What I’ll Use The Money For
I’m grateful for your support and promise complete transparency during the entire process. Basically, we plan to use your pledges to pay for creating and distributing this new album. Since I don’t have a backing record label yet, I’m not receiving any backing. Specifically, we’ll be using the proceeds to:
· Fulfill Kickstarter rewards
· Compensate our co-producers, musicians, engineers, graphic designers, and the many other creatives
· Rent studio time and equipment
· Mastering and manufacturing of the album
· Anything extra (God willing) will go toward marketing/publicity
At the end of this wild ride, we’ll have a new album and loads of exclusive behind the scenes footage to share with you.
Risks and challenges
Once the project is funded, there are very few risks involved. That said there are risks and challenges at every turn in the music industry however we have planned everything out with over 6 months of preparation time to be able to eliminate any and all challenges that could potentially arise.
I promise to keep you updated at every stage of the process and get rewards out as soon as we create or manufacture them. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me at Jules@JulesSong.com
