For most of his life Jack knew he was going to be in this diner with Lauren, but it was supposed to be so different.
We all have an idea of how we want our lives to play out, and things that we wish we can change. Being hung up on these can lead us to lose sight of what we have in front of us.
I've often struggled with the idea of what I thought my future would be. I keep waiting to turn into an adult, to become the person I have always envisioned. I remember seeing people older than me and wanting so badly to be there, to be at a point in my life where I have it all figured out. It's only now, (when I am at a point where I thought I might have it figured out) I am realizing no one has anything figured out.
We're all going along trying to be a version of ourselves that we can live with: some of us still chasing a person we hope to become, others upset we aren't there yet, and a few who have accepted where we are. We are constantly in flux. But I feel the most important thing is to love yourself for who you are, accept what you can and can't change, and learn to love the chaos of it all.
Knowing will touch on the struggle of getting to a place in life and realizing it's not what you thought it would be from afar, and it focuses on a struggling relationship where one person is more emotionally invested than the other.
We are looking for an $8,000+ investment in order to cover production costs and to give the film the high level of craft we believe it requires and deserves.
Why This Story?
I originally wrote this as a short story loosely based on an actual event that happened in my life. Through adapting it to a screenplay I found how connected to this story I really was, and it surprised me what I learned about myself. I know the feelings of anxiety addressed in this story are ones we all struggle with. If this film can help one other person to find solace in being lost, I will see this project as a success.

Risks and challenges
The largest hurdle we face is this story takes place primarily all in one location, so finding the perfect one is difficult. That being said, we are fully committed to finding the best option that will work for the visuals, the story, and the budget of this short film.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
