Brett Netson

Brett is a guitarist, to say the least about him. If you ever go to see the band Built to Spill, he would be the (usually) bearded player (usually) to the left of Doug Martsch.

He's a pretty awesome electric guitar player. This can be evidenced not only by the sheer rock goodness of Built to Spill, but by the sheer rock goodness of Brett in Caustic Resin

Brett has also been immortalized by David Lowery in the Cracker song "Hey Brett (You know what time it is?) -- see here: http://300songs.com/2010/08/05/21-hey-brett-you-know-what-time-it-is-cracker/

As a teaser for what Brett may be doing on this album All Attractions, here's a video of Jonathan Segel and Band at the Fillmore in San Francisco, on Halloween (Oct 31) 2009, opening for Built to Spill:

And yes indeed, some year+ after this, Brett came over to our house and recorded some guitar on this same song, though this time he wore a shirt and did not have face paint on.

Here are some interviews with the Brett:

It's Brett's birthday today….(being Bastille Day as well... his birthday would have to be some day known for chopping off the heads of royalty.)
