Rewards are starting to ship!

I am beginning to ship the rewards. Thank you so very much for your help. I'll send a personal message to each of you as your reward ships so you'll know to look for it. I'm starting with the smaller ones. I'm still creating the larger pieces, so those might still be a few weeks off.

Peace,

Joy

Blog post about the exhibit and a Great THANK YOU to our supporters!

Show was successful!!!

Thank you so much for supporting this show! We set up our sculpture and booth and talked with more than 500 people!! Several thousand saw the large sculpture and the comments we heard were fantastic! The people we talked with learned out glass blowing, working with exotic materials like Carbon Fiber, how art relates to the space industry and how art makes lives better.

BJ is setting up a webpage with photos of the sculpture, booth and artwork and I'll post that as soon as he gets it up and running. I cannot express the appreciation for you, to help us put on this exhibit like you did. I feel truly blessed. And the stress level for running the show was so reduced, knowing I had support behind it.

I'll begin creating your awards soon, so please watch for the survey and be thinking about what colors and designs you might like.

Again, thank you so much for your support. It really made the difference!

Peace, Joy

First Day of Exhibit was GREAT!

Just finished the first full day of the symposium and did a great job. Lots of people came by to find out what art had to do with space, what the process of glassblowing is, and to ooh and ahh at the wonderful glass pieces we had on display! A very good first day. Now tomorrow, we move the big installation sculpture for the award ceremony - Lifetime Achievement Award for Space Exploration, to Dr. Charles Elachi of Jet Propulsion Laboratories. He'll get one of our nice sculptures to take home. The great thing about this is that we get to meet these wonderful space professionals. I love being able to connect with the person that is receiving our glasswork. Should be a great day, and we thank all of our backers again for helping us get this wonderful exhibit shown!!  Peace, Joy

Large Sculpture has been installed!

Yesterday, we moved the large sculpture over to the Broadmoor and installed it in the lobby. The sculpture was designed to come apart into it's sections as we knew we had to be able to transport it. We built a special cart for the pieces to slide into and ride safely in the moving van. We put it all back together, cleaned it up so it's extra sparkly!!! and have already gotten quite a number of people to stop and stare at it as they pass through the lobby! :)   Here is a photo of it installed - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1974968619724&set=a.1822365084731.107636.1408325561&ref=nf    Now we move on to setting up all the glass art for our exhibit! The opening ceremonies for the symposium are TONIGHT!!! WooHOooOOOoooo!!!!!
