Thanks for clarifying, Josh. I think age has been negatively affecting my eyesight.
Thank YOU Josh ! You deserve it.
Congratulations Josh. And nice thought with he stretch goal. *cough* project home page *cough*
Have a great Christmas!
Apparently I was mistaken on the stretch goals... Ya that must be it. Shame we missed that 200k one anyway :P
Congrats! This project has come so far! Can't wait for the BETA :D
@Del-Boy - Hehehe...yeah...well....maybe I'm the one with bad eyesight, as you might find out if you check the project page again ;)
Congrats man! Knock it out of the park and don't release it until it's done.
I've been had.
Bad boy, Josh, baaaaaaad boy.
I am so looking forward to LT and those amazing physical goodies.
Josh, I missed my chance to up to the PROTOTYPE from the HITCHHIKER's GUIDE by less than 1 minute!!! Is there anything for those of us who want to up a pledge after funding was successful? Whether I'm able to or not, congratulations on an awesome campaign and I can't wait to see how it all ultimately comes together.
Release it when it is done!
Do your best! I know you won't let us down.
Damn would have loved to see seamless planetary landings..but this is still and excellent ending to a great run
Congratulations! Although damn, I meant to up my pledge when I got home earlier and forgot. No beta for me then. Good luck coding the game, I'm very impressed with your work so far and have really enjoyed the videos.
Thanx for err, tinkering with those stretch goals I had to take another gander before realiseing we got Carrers !!
Congrats Josh! You've earned it! Now get cracking on that game! (cue cracking whip and sinister laughter ;P)
Seriously though, what you have shown us so far is nothing short of amazing, can't wait to see the rest! Take your time though, we don't want our one and only LT founder to burn out :D Go party, enjoy yourself, then get some well earned rest, knowing that Limit Theory will be funded!
Can't wait to get my hands on the beta. You'll join the ranks of the very rare developers who have created such an impressive game as a one-man (or few-man) team.
Congrats Josh, can't wait to play the game!
*whip crack* Now get to it young man! ;)
Wow - what an achievement - Congratulations Josh!
And thank-you for the 'carrier' Christmas present for us all.
Congratulations and thanks for the Xmas gift!
This is awesome! Congrats Josh, though I think you forgot something in your update...ehhemm...backer badges! (or successfully funded badges!) ;-) ;-)
Congrats, Josh, and well done on this kickstarter. Also, thank you for the surprise bonus at the end. ;)
Congrats, Josh ! The Force is strong with you.
Congrats Josh, really looking forward to Jan 2014 :)
Thank you, Josh!
I can't wait til the Beta arrives!
Would you consider doing continued post kickstarter funding via paypal? I'm sure I'm not the only one who pledged then never checked back once funding was assured. I'm sure a lot of us would like to hit the multiplayer stretch goal.
I am sure Paypal will push the stretch goal towards 200K+
No Josh, thank YOU. Thank you for this wonderful campaign and your passion, sincerity and friendliness. Thank you for reminding me of just how much one person can accomplish if they set their mind to it (which ties in to your philosophy of limit theory) . Of course, KS campaigns aren't run on that alone, but on the deliverables side you well...delivered big time. From the get go you impressed with a clear vision and proof of your project.
One thing that struck me especially is that this project is not just one you want to bring to reality for others, but also for yourself; i.e. you are not just creating a game that you hope others will want to play and really enjoy; you are creating a game that YOU want to play and enjoy, further emphasising the very personal nature of this project for you (and why I again say thank you to you). And as for the carriers/docking stretch goal, well when you showed that in your latest tech demo, I also thought that you were probably going to include it anyway regardless of the outcome of the funding past that point. All I can say to your decision to make it the 185K stretch goal is this: it says a great deal of your character (and of course in a very positive way), again thank you. So, go make an awesome game Josh; thank you and I will be keeping a close eye on this!
As for landings et al, that's where the future comes in! Er, as in, funding via Paypal or another KS or whatever works. I think you have plenty enough to do at the moment (and the coming year or so)! (c:
Happy Holidays to you too, Josh.
Grats to be founded. Hopefull you manage to give a livesign with a short update how the game process around once each month.
Hooray! What a cool way to end this incredibly successful kickstarter. The now official carriers are indeed a great holidays gift. I'm looking forward to journey into 2013 and 2014 and see more Limit Theory. I also can't wait to fly and test in the alpha/beta - fun! Congratulations and happy holidays everyone!
What a great final update, I love the stretch switch-a-roo and how it's gone down!
From your videos, no-one would have guessed that you were shaking from fear at any point during this KS, and it's very cool that you shared that, since it could help others achieve things in similar circumstances.
You should set up an Indiegogo campaign (along with Paypal donations on the game's website). Pretty sure we'll be able to reach the final stretch goal this way!
Crap, I forgot to check back on this project, or I would have increased my funding to try to reach that final goal, which would really have made this game mind blowing, I think.
Oh, well... perhaps it can be a paid add-on, similar as to what they plan to do with Elite: Dangerous?
WHAHAHAHA AWESOME Josh!!
That is one great recitification to the stretch goals! (and I for one am not sad about not having multiplayer, tbh!)
It was a genuine pleasure to become part of the backer community, to read and sometimes post on the forum, to be allowed a look in your kitchen and to fantasize about how awesome this game will be to play.
Have a great holiday as well and all the best for 2013, see you on your forums :)
josh please give us another chance on the multiplayer stretchgoal.
After rereading this I'm Still looking forward to my own little faction complete with space station and carrier
