Politigaffes: The War on Error (Canceled)
It is the crazy and outrageous party game where everyone runs for president and tries to gain the voters' approval!
In the past few months, I have been developing my new party game Politigaffes: The War on Error.
There are two ways to play this. One for smaller groups of 4-8 players and one for larger groups containing 9 or more players.
In this game you get to experience the chaos that we call a presidential debate. You represent a candidate who is running for office, but your notes have been scrambled beyond all repairs. Each player sets up their own personal deck of “Talking Point” cards that they will use to create custom quotes that are based on things said by real politicians, historical figures, and fictional characters, along with custom statements that have been inspired by them.
During each turn, every player votes on who has created the best/funniest statement. If you get the most votes during a turn, you win the state and score points equal to the amount of Electoral College votes that the state possesses, but there is an element of strategy involved. What does anyone say when they don’t know how to answer a question? “That is a great question!” And there is a card that you can play to simulate such awkwardness in these conversations. It allows you to gain more options to use in order to think up a good answer for the next turn. You even have the option directly attacking the reputation of other players as well.
Prepare for the funny, the outrageous, and the downright politically incorrect! The war on error has begun!
Politigaffes comes with a set of 500 cards (100 State Cards and 400 Talking Point cards), rules sheet, and custom storage for the cards.
The money that is not used for the manufacturing and shipment of the games to the donors will be used to pay for hosting and construction of the website for Politigaffes.
On the website, the user will have access to updated rules, card effect clarifications, and description of each topic addressed on each card in the game. Scholarly sources will be referenced if needed for a particular topic.
Risks and challenges
There is a very small chance that the products do not make it to me from the manufacturer due to an accident in the shipping. If this occurs, then it will hold back my ability to ship the games to you.
Once all of the games are in my possession, there is also a small chance that there will be an accident during the shipping process from me to you. The games will be shipped anywhere in the United States. If something happens, I will make another attempt to get it shipped to you as soon as possible.
I will be administering the construction of the website. It is likely that I will be hiring another company to design the layout after I use some of the donations to pay for web hosting. Once that is complete, I will do research on the topics addressed on the cards. Short (1-2 paragraphs) descriptions on each topic will be written, dedicating a web page to each card if needed. I am very interested in history and politics, so this should not be too difficult for me.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
