Josh: I received my full package of everything and it's a big hit in the office. Beautiful stuff. It will complement the big skull and the silver skull from the previous KickStarter event.
I requested the wrong iPhone case - need the iPhone 5 in lieu of the iPhone 4 case. Can you send me one of the iPhone 5 cases? Thanks......................Samuel
last of the rewards are slated to ship soon. I had a batch of unacceptable pieces. Final pieces needed arrived this afternoon & will ship by end of week or Monday. Sorry for the delay & thanks for our patience. Just wanna make sure everything goes out the best it can be
Your last update indicated shipping the last items on or around the 18th... But it's now the 28th & nothing has arrived. Could you give an update on when the last items will be shipped?
Yay! thank you!
I got my awesome skull today and it's sitting next to my other one. Thanks again, Josh!
Hi Josh, can I complicate things by ordering a coleoptera to be shipped with my kickstarter? Need one of everything of course!
skulls are shipping this week!
Can we get an update on shipping? I was hoping to have received my skull by now.
links for the papercraft & origami puzzles were sent out before Christmas via Kickstarter messaging. Anyone who missed them please check your Kickstarter inbox.
I received the t-shirt - thanks. However, I do not recall receiving the origami skull puzzles. Did my pledge level include those items?
Looking forward to the big stuff.
Your last update said you should be shipping about now. Can we get that update?
it did. Will post update soon ;)
Did "full production" start on schedule (around January 28)?
see Update #9 for current production schedule :)
Any word on when to expect the kickstarted items? (:
hey William, lot's of good questions here--
-I curretnly use SLS technology for most of my work (EOS machines) --resolution is inherent to the machine
-I use Shapeways as my main vendor resource. I do so because of quality, pricing, interface, delivery, their proactive participation in community, & they are actually a bunch of very nice people to boot. I used to own 2 high end Objet machines but too expensive for my current business model.
-No specific association or special deal with any bureau or manufacturer. Not sure I'd be interested in that but I guess it depends on the context
-I felt I was left with little option other than to remove 3DS. In hindsight & considering the timing & that they're suing Kickstarter as well, I'm not sure why they participated in the 1st place
-Regarding response on this project....these things really do well with lots of high profile press. The first project got a fair amount of that while this one has not. So in perspective this one is actually doing very well with little help from the media. Just did an interview with TIME Magazine. We'll see if it's out in time to give a boost
- all the pieces from this project will ship with hand signed project postcard to authenticate that they were form the original offering.
Great project and great expansion of rewards; you're opening up imaginations.
Sorry if I seem legalistic, but it's in the interest of full disclosure and I figured you would want everyone to know what associations you have with any of the noted companies, or others in the field. I have no doubt as to your motives of course, and encourage you to continue your excellent effort. What machines do you use for the models, and at what resolution? Do you own your own machine or do you use a service bureau? Have you established any sort of association or special deal with any service bureau or manufacturer?
I also applaud your tough decision re 3DSystems, and your sensitive comments on that matter demonstrated a sincere pain in removing them from this project. On a side note, I have acknowledged in the Form1 comments that 3DSystems' business plan apparently has regrettably positioned them against small designers and fabricators, and therefore against this project. It's too bad, they make good printers, even if they don't serve the community perfectly.
Great response, but why isn't this project getting more attention than the first one? Were those who got a Harker original with the first skull offer satisfied, or is it the difference in pricepoints, or maybe simply people busy with Christmas? I'll be the first to predict vast increases in value of these first Harker prints. One thing people will want though is something marking it as an orginal though. The rewards are amazing, and I can't wait to get my brother that cel phone cover. I suppose I will get the tshirt for myself. The complex and meaningful design is a milestone, and I wish I had a few extra bucks to buy the full one.
1st project I've backed on Kickstarter. This art is awesome. Looking forward to the origami skull.
I was thrilled to see you were making another skull, could not pay you fast enough! I would really like to get a detailed pdf or jpeg of your first and now second skull. I am looking to get one in black and one in what as tattoos on my arms! Anything you can send would be a great help!
thanks Courtney, just add the shipping amount for the higher priced pledge
Hi I'm looking at pledging for a combination of the medium skull and the wings ( I think it would be cool to swap and change the skull from the first campaign) I'm just unsure on how much to pledge. I'm overseas, so do I need to include the extra shipping amounts for both or just the most expensive shipping amount? I need to save up a little to afford it so I need to know what amount to aim towards as well.
give up food for art? sounds like me!
I backed your project last time and I plan to do so again. Even though I may not eat for the next month or so, I will be getting the entire Anatomica di Revolutis sculpture! I consider it a worthy investment :)
This project is pure genius and I hope it goes beyond silly big as it deserves to. It is heartening to see that even in difficult time something this good will always get backed. People know what the good stuff is!
Bad to the bonnneeee!!!!
Totally backed you up for that Iphone case :D
thanks all! I'm honored that you're considering my art on a shirt. ..still counts in my book :)
Only able to help out at the tee shirt level. Believe me, If I could afford your work I would donate more to help you develop it. but many of us who are priced out of your market still support the innovators."I backed Joshua Harker and all I got was this awesome tee shirt!" Make mine a large please :)
note taken & I agree Nick
Fantastic looking project.
You might want to adjust the bit that says "American led revival" though - that's an insult to everyone who isn't American (eg: the reprap project, the core open-source software web-techs... the internet itself) etc etc. This is international. The network is international.
Unfurtunately i won't be able to afford a friend for my Crania Anatomica Filigre sculpture this time so i'll just be getting a T-shirt =P
Lets aim for something better than 3rd place this time =)
