I still can't believe this is happening - we got the script to the great Tony Todd to consider playing the role of Hughes, the head of an underground drug network. Official today, Tony has signed on to do the movie and we're so excited to tell this story with him on board!
Our casting post for key roles of JIM, GOLDY, and JOLENE have received over 1,000 submissions-- FOR EACH ROLE-- from all over the country, with over 2,000 for Jolene alone! Can't wait to post new cast members to this page soon.
After a rookie undercover cop is killed in a house drug deal gone wrong, his mentor is put on leave and begins an unauthorized investigation into the failed deal. As he digs deeper, he uncovers a vast drug network operating under the surface of a rural town.
All Gone Wrong is an independent cop/crime thriller written and directed by Josh Guffey and produced by award-winning producers Frank Merle and Michael Kennedy through Vidzu Media in St. Louis.
Here's a rough timeline of the project:
- June 2019 - Shooting in St. Louis, MO
- December 2019 - Film is finished / delivered to festivals
- 2020 - Film festivals and (fingers crossed) release!
DON'T BE FOOLED - THE MOVIE HAS NOT BEEN SHOT YET! THIS TRAILER IS A PROOF OF CONCEPT.
WE WILL BE SHOOTING IN ST. LOUIS THIS JUNE, 2019. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO GET THIS MOVIE SHOT AND MADE ✊
This trailer is built from footage we've shot over the years to show to investors and it gives a great idea what we are shooting for with the feature film.
Chris Halvorsen, veteran of a skilled undercover narcotics unit, takes rookie agent Mikey Costa under his wing. When their boss, Jim Grace, taps Mikey to conduct a drug deal in a house alone with new suspects, Chris begrudgingly agrees to train him out of loyalty to the unit.
When Mikey is inside the house wearing a wire and Chris is outside leading the surveillance team, Mikey's wire fails before a suspect exits the house and drives away in Mikey's car. With no way of knowing Mikey's condition in the house, Chris and his team break-in and a shootout ensues, ending in Mikey's death alongside that of the rest of the suspects.
In the aftermath, Chris is immediately put on leave and begins an unauthorized investigation into the failed deal in order to uncover why they were there in the first place. His first clues point him towards a rural town where he meets Jolene, a local bartender tied to a pervasive drug network; Manny, the area's lead enforcer; and Hughes, the leader of the network.
As he digs up more than he bargained for, he has to decide how to proceed when doing the "right thing" could lead to the most violent conclusion.

Risks and challenges
Every low budget independent feature film has risks and challenges, but with enough preparation, we can mitigate any potential issues! Our main risk is a change to our production schedule. Right now, we're planning to shoot in St. Louis in June 2019 to begin principal photography.
Luckily, if any unforeseen problems arise, we're prepared to adjust our schedule and budget accordingly to make the best and most efficient feature film before our big festival deadlines in 2019.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
