Mixology is the art of making cocktails that trigger all of your senses with a show that defies your imagination. The Ozz puts both pizazz and predictability into making cocktails by guiding you through everything from selecting, measuring and mixing the ingredients to serving a suitably stylish result. With the Ozz, every cocktail is a gastronomic delight.

With its stark geometric design, the Ozz makes a confident visual statement that sets the tone for a truly satisfying cocktail experience. While the outspoken design and high quality finish command attention, once the show gets going you will find yourself effortlessly mixing perfect cocktails, and steal the spotlight.
The Ozz app
The Ozz app (for iPhone and Android) features a wide variety of tested cocktail recipes. The Ozz app also provides a range of tips and information to help users improve mixology skills, while the Ozz device has a real-time feedback feature that refines the sense of proportion and taste. This enables creation of personal taste profiles, which leads to discovery and sharing of new favourite cocktails.
The Ozz app can suggest cocktails based on occasions or party themes (e.g. Great Gatsby, Mad Men, SATC) or specified ingredients (e.g. what’s already in your drinks cabinet).
Feedback system
After every drink you make, the Ozz app will give you feedback on how your drink compares to the original recipe. The app will guide you in adjusting your cocktail if you prefer to stick to the original version. Or you can save your own creation as the new standard recipe.
The Ozz app uses the information it received from the cocktails you pick and the adjustments you make, to advise you in cocktails you might like as well. Think of it as an algorithm-based cocktail recommendation engine.
The interactive cocktail shaker
The Ozz device transforms your glass into an intuitive display and guides you through the measuring and mixing. Once you picked your cocktail and gathered the ingredients,you can just follow the intuitive display. Simply keep adding the ingredient until the circle in the rim of your glass is full.
Now this is the real fun part: While you are getting information from the display, your guest will only see a beautiful light show.
Hardware
From a hardware point of
view: the screenless display communicates with your smartphone over Bluetooth.
This means that the screenless display tells you when to stop pouring and at the same time the Ozz app will show the next ingredient.
The main components of the Ozz system are: load sensors, RGB color LEDs, a Bluetooth Low Energy chip, and a Li-on battery that you can charge via Micro USB.

Why we need you
Right now we have a working prototype and the know how to translate our current design to a mass production version. In order to get there, we will invest in engineering and testing. We also will produce a mould for the casing, and order our parts in bulk.
The app we are buiding contains recipes from Michelin star restaurant mixologists. In order to get the user experience at the same level as the content, we will have our app be build by experienced developers.
In short: only with your support we can deliver a radically innovative product for a reasonable price.

- October: Introduce Ozz to the Kickstarter community
- November: Reengineer the electronics for the production model and start programming the App, order the mould for the casing
- December: Place the orders for the electronics parts and the mould for the casing
- January: Publish the App for reviewstart manufacturing of the casing
- February: Assemble the electronics and start quality tests and produce the packaging
- March: Start the final assembly and begin shipping

Risques et défis
A process to realize an interactive product has many moving parts, figuratively speaking ;) All of these parts come together at the same time. This project involves developing an app, electronics, producing a casing, designing beautiful packaging, and assembling all of it. We are all (partners and our team) fully geared up to deliver in time. Nevertheless we could encounter some unforeseen challenge on the way which might take some more time to solve than we want.
So the single biggest risk is delay.
