Was expecting a game on convenience stores since from my (admittedly limited) time in Japan, they were everywhere and very uh... convenient, especially compared to their North American equivalents, but the next lineup of the Tokyo Series looks great!
@Jordan: Fair enough. Thanks for at least considering a solo option for Sumo. I understand that not every game is well-suited for solo play, and probably not every game should have it, so I'm not trying to force it in if it won't fit. But I do think you'll draw in more of the primarily-solo players with it than without it. Personally, as a fan of the sport, I'll probably get Sumo anyway, but if you could include a decent solo mode of some kind for it, I think any hesitation due to player count would be gone and make it an insta-back for me. I'm not a game designer, but if there's something I can do from a player perspective, like maybe playtesting or discussing rules/ideas, to help make a solo mode for Sumo happen, I'd be willing to try to help out when I have time. Thanks again for not forgetting about the solo crowd. :)
Ah, Jordan, I can see it now. That's brilliant!
Looking forward to getting the purple box in part 4 of the series :)
@Angela M.: The key is in Tokyo Metro ;)
@Brad: You're welcome, thanks for appreciating that fact and not just feeling entitled to all the upgrades :)
@James M.: It might be possible to play against yourself, I'll tackle that after I finish the main game :)
As much as I'm already ecxited for the next three games- I had some how expected to see three new box colors as well.Would make it much easier to pick the game you're looking for
Is there a reason for the color scheme to be repeating that I'm missing?
Yeah, congrats and thanks so much for making both of the last two stretchgoals happen! Looking forward to these three, and also to your next campaign. A Sumo game is awesome!
You always seem to be willing to choose to make better-quality games for everyone even if it likely costs you more :D Thanks!
Sumo?! Even though I'm primarily a solo player I might have to get Tokyo Sumo. I don't know if I can pass up the chance to get a sumo game. You could think about making some kind of AI bot/dummy player for a solo mode to make it even more enticing though... :D
@Jeffrey Erikson: Yes, let's Sumo!
@Patrick Rauland: Thanks Patrick, it should be fun!
Congratulations, Jordan! And, what?! Sumo?! I can't wait!
Congrats on funding! Can't wait to hear more about the design competition & umbrella lockers! :)
