That's just the way to do it, @Jennifer.
You'll specify later, after the campaign, in pledge manager, what you want the money to be used for :)
I think I did it wrong. I added the $20 but I was expecting the manager to ask me for what purpose and it didn't, it just took the money :).
@Angela M.: You beat me to it! Thanks :)
@Jennifer King Schlickbernd: Absolutely, if you pledge for the $45 level (Tokyo Tsukiji Market) and then add $20 to your pledge, this will be the correct amount for both before shipping. After the campaign ends, you will be able to select Praise as your add on game. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Sure, @Jennifer King Schlickbernd. You can pledge for Tokyo Tsukiji Market, and then add 20$ for praise (now or in pledge manager). You could theoretically do it vice versa as well, but by backing a Tokyo series product, you qualify for the metal coin stretchgoal.
Is there a way to get only PRAISE and Tokyo Market?
@Angela M.: The design competition will include any of the TOKYO SERIES games, that way it won't limit those who only have certain titles :)
I completely see this point with Praise, I've actually tested it with quite a few non-native English speakers and found you can usually get around the issue by allowing them to pick a different fake praise than the one rolled if they don't understand it (since there are 6 options it's worked out most of the time). That being said I also understand that it isn't for everyone, just as I can't handle playing certain games in Japanese either :P
Praise does look like an interesting game. However, it is highly language dependent. I don't see me playing this with any of my game groups, there's always people who need help with English words, and you can't offer it in a game, where you have to keep your cards a secret. So unfortunately, it's not for me.
Oooh, lovely - game design competition is such a great idea, not only for the ones partaking, but also for everybody else, since it does mean more game modes to play effectively!
Is it for any of the Tokyo Series games, or just for one of them (Coin Laundry and Game Show would probably be the easiest).
