COPACETIC new album from Jordan Copas
I'm an independent artist currently working on releasing my 5th music project. Partner with me and let's make COPACETIC a reality!
WHAT IS COPACETIC?
Hey, my name is Jordan Copas and I'm beyond excited to have this opportunity through "Kickstarter" to make this project work. The project I am currently working on is entitled "Copacetic."
Copacetic is defined as satisfactory, alright, good, and fine. I have heard this statement a few times "Don't worry, because I assure you that everything's copacetic."
I've also heard "Hey Jordan - it's gonna be all good man, it's all copacetic." I know what the opposite of copacetic is as well; bad, poor, inferior, substandard, mediocre, wretched, unsatisfactory and so on. Well, I've lived the opposite of a copacetic life. Briefly I am going to share with you a little bit about myself.

WHO IS JORDAN COPAS?
Born May 14, 1986 in Johnson City, TN - it was hard to smile. I knew what it was like to be in need... to go to sleep hungry and not knowing what I was going to wake up to. It was something different every day, and always a lot of drama! I had trust issues. People would pop into my life and then disappear just as quickly.
It was a cycle to which I quickly became accustomed: No male role model and no family support. I felt abandoned, rejected, and unloved. My mother did her best to raise me and my sisters, but it was hard to do - working 3 jobs with long hours to try to keep food on the table. I had a lot of alone time, and most of that time was spent roaming the streets.
My 1st Song Ever "Through the Fire" (Underwater Music Video)
I was in and out of trouble starting at a young age. Counselors couldn't help, anger management did nothing for me, cuffs couldn't stop me, and authority could not get through to me. I was my own boss, a latch-key kid who trusted no one. The thought of people letting me down hurt, so I kept people at bay. I was abused in many forms and I lost my innocence early on. The scars ran deep and the pain has still not gone away. Life was hard, but I knew nothing else so to me it was all good ... It was just the life I knew. Deep inside, though, there was always something nagging in the back of my brain. I always wanted more, and I wanted to help others around me in need.
Jordan Copas - N.L.M.D.
This is why I want to do this Copacetic project. In the midst of this world where it seems like a lot of no good is happening, we can still have true joy, and we can still be at peace. No matter what our circumstance we still have hope. No matter who tries to stop us we can still dance. Dance through all the pain and be carefree.
Let go of all the cares of this world and really come to a place where you feel that you are free. That is why I'm doing this project. Why worry about your life? Aren't there enough problems coming at you today? It would be awesome to be able to have a group of my friends to come together and everyone be in a place in their heart where they are content and not worrying. We find ourselves getting anxious, and that is real. My goal is to have you kick back and turn on my music and feel good no matter what situation you are facing.
I used to be afraid to dance. I used to be afraid to open up, and really I used to be afraid to just be myself. Who cares what people think about you? Just be you! Be yourself.
WITH LIFE COMES A STORY
Once I was afraid to trust people and once I was afraid to be real, but now I am in a place where I open up and let people get to know the real me. I want to encourage people. I want to motivate people. I want to empower the powerless. I want to help the helpless. I want to bring hope to the hopeless, and I would like to love on the unloved. We are all looking for love, some kind of love, and in all reality, some love will never satisfy. We can be deceived by the false promise of an untrue love, but I now have a reason to love, and I would love to share that love with you and others out there. I was told that I was just another product of my environment, and I was going to follow the footsteps of those who are dead or in prison... but I'm here now! So please come on this journey with me. With life comes a story. I have a story to tell.

FIRST 4 ALBUMS
Previous to Copacetic I have released 4 music projects in three years. These four projects were all self funded and they took almost everything out of me... OK, they actually did take everything - but it's been worth it. That's why I keep the music flowing; people seem to be moved by my music. I hear stories from various sources on how my music gets better and better with each project.
• 11/11/2011 - I released "The Playground," and people fell in love with it. That was my first project ever. I had zero recording experience and training. This just came to me naturally and I had a lot of passion behind what I was doing.
• 06/01/2012 - "Daily Grind" came out hot on the heels of my first project. People told me they were more and more impressed with my sound and development as an artist.
• 09/07/2013 - My third album, "On Focus," dropped to rave review, and finally,
• 10/10/2013 - My most recent (self-titled) album "Jordan Copas," came out.
So, as you can see, I have been super busy! Check out the covers for my first 4 albums :
The Playground (11/11/2011)
Daily Grind (06/01/2012)
On Focus (09/07/2012)

One of my passions is performing. I have a natural gift at doing this. There are a few things that you can expect from me when it comes to performing. The awkwardness will go away quick.
You can expect to have a good time. I will not only perform my music, but we will have time to hang out and enjoy ourselves. I love to have a good time. We could even go out in public and hang out.
My primary objective when it comes to performing is that you will have an experience that you will not soon forget and will be left inspired and encouraged. This time together will stick in your memory banks and will be cherished by you, your friends, and loved ones.

if this project is not funded
If Copacetic is not funded then this project will unfortunately be put on hold and no one will receive their rewards or get to hear the album. We will all be sad.
(Backers will not have any funds taken out until this project is fully funded.)
Risks and challenges
Any music project could possibly face challenges. I am qualified to overcome these challenges, because I have overcome them 4 times with my first 4 albums, and met the deadline of the release date for each album.
I'm working with a producer from Atlantic Records on this album that already produced the live sounds of this project, and I invested my own money into that, so that part is already out of the way. Now I have to record my vocals, get the songs mixed and mastered, get album artwork, and then get the cd's packaged and ready to send your way.
In all reality there is a risk with backing any project, but this will be a low risk with me and my project. I will have no problem finishing this album and getting you all of your rewards promptly. Thanks for backing my project!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
