About this project
We Love Anthology Horror Films..
The voice of real Mavericks, the micro budget filmmaker, is being heard. Indie Filmmakers can share their vision directly with audiences and produce the kinds of films they want the world to see. We love the psychological horror from the 70's, and Creeping Crawling is a film that pays homage to those classics by disturbing audiences with their own imagination.
Who's In It?
Anthology films are anchored by a narrator/storyteller. In Creeping Crawling the narrator is an eccentric Etomologist which is being interviewed by two college students. It's a comedic and dark character who leads this unsuspecting duo into a world where human and insect intersect in very unexpected ways. We are pursuing well known actors to play this part. A few examples are...William Forsythe (Raising Arizona, Devils Rejects, Boardwalk Empire), Brad Dourif (Deadwood, The Exorcist III, Lord of the Rings, Child’s Play), Karen Black(Easy Rider, Burnt Offerings, Devils Rejects), Tony Todd (The Candyman Series, The Rock, The Final Destination Series), or Crispin Glover (Willard, Back To The Future, Alice In Wonderland).
Why Do You Need Star Power?
We want Creeping Crawling to land distribution on DVD Internationally, and be available at Netflix, Redbox, and Video On Demand outlets worldwide including a limited theatrical release and premier at Horror Film Festivals worldwide. When you promote a film to festivals and distributors the first question is "Who's in it?". I would like to have an answer to that question. Someone to headline and call attention to an already intriguing film. We are in the process of introducing the project to these agents and are meeting with tremendous interest. Catch the vision and we can make this happen together.
The writers of Creeping Crawling are husband and wife filmmaking team Jon Russell and Tracy Cring, with writer Joshua Owens adding his flavor to one of the stories. After rescuing a little kitten from a crazy cat lady their house became infested in fleas. This drove Tracy especially delirious scratching and spraying bug killer and in that hallucinatory haze they sat down and penned Creeping Crawling.
What's It About?
Creeping Crawling... An Etymological Anthology of Terror is a feature length film with three stories about people's interaction with bugs here are the breakdowns...
RID -- A troubled young woman steals the identity of a nurse and tries to care for a comatose patient in a Gothic mansion. Upon arrival she seems to be attacked at night by fleas. Even more strange is that the repellant and sprays she is using to fight the infestation seem to bring the patient whom she is developing an infatuation with slowly out of his stupor. Rid is a creepy, sexy, mind-game that will have the audience scratching there arms and and wiggling in their seat.
GRUBBERY -- Denver is a beautiful struggling model with an eating disorder imports some highly illegal tapeworms to lose weight. Continuing to consume more of the worms she flashes back to her tyrannical father who planted her body issues then learning she is pregnant has to make a horrific choice. Grubbery is a slow descent into the true cost of vanity.
BUGGER -- Nebbish lonely phone solicitor Bailey attempts to online date, the only problem is he is having trouble finding a partner who is into his particular fetish...bugs. As he haplessly searches for Ms. Right someone known as The Praying Mantis Killer is stalking the area. Add to that a couple of co-workers who are playing amateur sleuths and an online Formicophillia Femme named Ms. Cooty and you have a funny and very disturbing chapter on what lengths some people will go to for their own pleasure.
