I have backed many projects through kickstarter. It has been a pe]rivdlige to do so. M complaint is the amount of time for these projects to come to fruition. I realize dealing with foreign countries has their own set of complexities. I have also been what I would consider being "burned" by dubious prodi]ucts that will b probably NEVER realize completion. Buyer Beware!
Meantime those projects that should be at the forefront being delayed become suspect. Too Bad for some of these projects deserve consideration to enter into the world of viable projects.
Hopefully, there is a swift remedy and these products will be available promptly...NOT more than a YEAR or MORE to process. Foe me, I will have to weigh the prospect of bringing a "new" product to the market with far more investigation and PATIENCE. I am instuting a legal option for a product that I backed more than 2 years ago as a possible fraud. Pity because the "IDEA" was winner for humanity. In conclusion, buyer Beware to the projects you back!

Thank you for your perseverance. It is really admirable. I was one of those who received a defective unit. I hope that my new camera will come in working order. I understand those who are frustrated because they haven't received their item, but I think they should be grateful (as I am) that you and your team are working hard to make things right. Just keep up the communication (love the shipping link) and all will be well.

Dobra den from Australia. That was brilliant communication from a creative team. A team that has had more obstacles than most. A team that has had to backtrack and regroup. A team that is teaching and demonstrating how to problem solve through obstacles. You are making solid progress. I have no doubt you will deliver this project and at the quality you intended.
This is not instant gratification. This is not retail. The risks and rewards are higher. This is creating. Bringing new ideas into fruition. I have learned a lot. Knowledge is my life thesis. Not only do you reward me with a physical product. The biggest rewards are process and learning for me. I gift the items or use them. They bring a lot of joy either way. They are objects. Your team are people. I can support and encourage the people while waiting for an object.
Take heart team. You've got this.

Appreciate the updates and communication. We know you'all want this to be everything you had hoped for when you presented the project.

I'm sorry if I missed a previous update, but I received one of your earlier Jollylook cameras (when manufacturing was done in China) and like many others, there are issues with it. For example, the camera bellows do not fold out all the way and when pulled out, the top of the bellows is uneven with the bottom, making picture taking impossible. Will those who received the initial batch get replacements sent out when production resumes? Or do we need to send ours back?

    33. knoptop on

How are we looking on this? Can I expect my camera before Christmas?

      Thanks

Thank you for your update. While many people here think this project is a scam I believe you guys are really trying your best in delivering the product. And I think they are being unfair to the producers so I can't help to leave a supportive comment here.

People don't have any idea how long designing and creating a usable product takes. This is kickstarter not an ordinary retail shop so there are risks to take - nobody guaranteed 100% success. Now you have a team facing loads of obstacles but still trying their best to solve every single problem. A team that still updates their progress despite getting hate comments after every single post. If they are plotting a scam they won't even bother to communicate with backers at all. It's a long wait - that's true. But once again this is kickstarter, not your grab-and-go retail store. If you feel you are deceived, be wiser in choosing projects to back. It did take long, but I trust these guys are genuinely producing a product we can use.

So show a bit more patience and support to them.

      Supports and love,
      From Hong Kong

This has got to be a joke of some sort. Over a year and a half to get this thing going? Just ridiculous. I asked for a refund maybe 6 or 7 months ago and was told no. Bunch of BS. WORST experience by far on Kickstarter or even Indiegogo. Could never recommend this product and company to anyone in good faith.

As backer #1220 I was excited to receive my camera when it was shipped in June 2018. The camera arrived but life got in the way and I just opened the box to try the camera. It looked good out of the box but then I noticed the problems ... The faceplate is coming off where it was glued and the bellows are so stiff that they will never stay open to take a picture. To say that I am not happy with the camera is an understatement. What can be done to make this camera useable?
