Have a question?
Hi John, Are you still selling Picks? I've been searching on the web and can't find anywhere to buy some more.
Same as Denise - I haven't played with a different pick since I got these, and would like another one or two.
I wanted to order another pick, my brother can't find it anywhere and we're so sad! I went to the website and I saw a reserve now button but I wasn't sure if there was an option to buy it directly from you. Please advise. Thank you!
Sweet, Thanks for the feedback Krom!
@Sergey: Sending DM.
Gotta leave a quick message that I'm still having a lot of fun with your picks. Sold one to a very good friend and pointed the others that wanted to have one to your website. :)
Again, thank you for your good work. Still one if not the best kickstarter I have supported.
Over time it got sharp and turned into the spearhead making it real to damage the guitar finish if accidently stroke hits it... But great stuff nevertheless
@Yoseph - Messaging you directly.
i havent received my reward....
@eran - direct messaging you..
@trevor - awesome news! Please do!
Hi John, Still didn't get my picks (from Israel BTW), and wondered if everybody got there's already..
Do you have any information regarding the shipping (i.e. tracking number)?
Thanks and a happy new year to you all!
Christmas Present Success... my Brother thought the pick was the coolest thing he has seen in a long time. I'll let you know what he thinks once he plays with it some more. They turned out awesome :)
@Paul - Saweeeet! Thanks! I've found that running a successful campaign is about 30% hard work, 30% good communication, and 30% luck... (and then another unexpected 30% hard work again, and then another 30% luck... ) There were so many points where this could have been less cool, and the manufacturer committed to making it right. I also had a very dedicated family helping assemble and a laser focused wife to help keep everything in order. I just want to share my gratitude to all folks that helped deliver the awesome, and last, but not least, all you folks who shared the dream and decided to support the campaign. You all helped bring this into the world, and I am so happy to read all the positive reviews.
Hello, I would like to congratulate you on a successful project. I received my pics and am have been enjoying them for the past few weeks. Far too many projects on KS over promise and under deliver. Not this one. You sir, have hit a home run. Thank you!
Thanks Gail, Awesome story! Merry Christmas! :)
P.s. Merry Christmas to you and yours! :)
@John, I got my three pack with the idea of making jewelry, but I ended up giving them as gifts to a couple of guitar players I know- my son in law In particular. I think a tear came to his eyes- lol. The text on the packaging was almost as big a hit as the pick! Honestly, everyone in the room made sure to read it out loud so we would all know not to use it in the microwave. Awesome! Thanks.
@brad - Hey Merry Christmas Brad! Thanks for your guidance and encouragement this year! The Kickstarter community is better because of you! Keep Rocking!
@everybody - have a rockin holiday and thanks for an amazing experience!
Merry Christmas John
@Stan - Wow, thanks for taking the time to do such a thorough review! I am honored that you have chosen the EpicGrip as your primary. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!
Hello John, and All. I totally forgot to send an update after I received (and located, long story) my pick. So, here's an update. I love it! I am primarily an acoustic player, and I thought that the odds of the pick sounding very good in that circumstance were slim, but I took a chance. I'm extremely glad that I did. I have been using it exclusively, in preference to my previous pick - which I have been using for over THIRTY YEARS.
You can, very slightly, hear the characteristic sound of the pick on the strings. It's absolutely no problem. I had imagined that it might make all kinds of clanging, clacking, or who knows what kind of noise, and it just doesn't. I do play with one of the 'top' corners, instead of the 'point', but I do with regular picks as well.
Are there any cons? Well, I think the anodizing (I ended up with Blue) is wearing off a bit already. Other than that, I can't think of anything bad to say about it.
I just want to say thank you very much for doing this project (and managing it well - certainly in comparison to some other projects I've backed here and elsewhere). I will at some point be buying another as a back up - but I can't think of a reason to ever use another pick if I don't lose this one.
Happy Holidays everyone.
@Edmond - thanks man, will do!
Have a rockin' Christmas everybody!
Hey @John Wundes!
Received my pledge reward in the snail mail a couple days back, gave it to my wife as an early Christmas present (she saw it, can't make excuses to hide it and stuff) and she was really happy with all 4 picks! Thanks!
Moving on, don't forget us when you start a new project or something, do share and post an update for us to click-through and follow it :)
Oh, and with your successful project completion, if you DO come up with something else or start to develop another new project or some such... consider referring to some of your fellow KS project creators for guidance or collaboration... maybe something could be cooked up? :)
Best of luck with whatever comes next!
Awesome Pick! I am very satisfied with my order of two picks. My friends could not believe how good the pick performs. Thank you so much!!
A friend an I received our picks the other day and man, are they amazing!!!!
Thank you so much John and everyone else that was involved in making this happen. This is a proof that there are capable people out there able to finish their project and deliver the goods.
I really wish you luck with further sales and projects, if you have any :)
@gadget - Awesome! I'll have to check out BlueTac. Thanks!
@Jed - Sweet, let me know how they work for you! Happy Holidays!
@alexander - picks are still arriving. Msg me directly if you want to inquire about status. The link is on the main EpicGrip campaign page. Thx, - J
I´am starting to get a bit concerned about when the order will come. I still have not received it and I believe it was shipped way back in november. Is it on its way? :)
I received my pair yesterday, just in time for the holidays, and I have to say that they truly are epic! Can't wait to use them! Thanks, John and team! Shout out all the way from the Philippines.
John & team,
Thanks for a most excellent journey. I received my 4 pack yesterday in Australia. Product was very well received by the team - the fire and gold colours were excellent.
One of the lads indicates that he has used BluTack to reduce slippage when playing... something that people could consider given the perforated design of the Epic - if they think they want more grip.
Thanks again John - I am sure most of us will be signing up for your next KS!
Picks arrived in Spain!! totally awesome, started recording new songs as soon as they arrived. Great project and great management!! thanks!
@Justin - JazzIII would be the next shape I'd make, I like them too, but thought the standard shape would be a better 'first' version. I can do green, but it's harder to get consistent. I'll play around with my setup, and see if I can pin it down by then.
@Nick - Ah, the scenic route! Glad to hear it finally made it! Enjoy, and thanks for the report!
Just got mine in the mail today in Malaysia. The envelope went to Myanmar mistakenly before arriving on my shores.
Thanks and happy thanksgiving!
@Chris - Sweet. Wow, that took a while. Glad to hear it arrived safe!
@Stan - PM'ing you direct.
Hi John, I'm starting to get a little concerned. I haven't seen my pick yet (I was a guerrilla marketing backer). I need to double-check with my wife to make sure she didn't see it either - but, do you know if my pick has been mailed (I assume so), and is there a way to tell where it is en route?
Got my EpicGrips in Australia today. Excellent Job John they look amazing. The true test is in the playing and I must say that there is an absolute crispness when picking on my Accoustic Guitar. Now to make sure that I don't lose them like the other 237 plastic picks that are somewhere hiding around the house and various gig venues.
Thanks for the updates everybody! So happy to see so many happy supporters! Couldn't have done it without you!
Hey John, I got my pick today and I love it. Now I need more.
I got the picks on Friday, they are truly epic! Thanks John!
John, got the picks last week and sent them off as a gift to my brother in law on Friday. I dont play the guitar, but he is amazing, so I felt like it was a better home for them there. Once he gets them, he is going to play around with them a bit. I look forward to hearing his thoughts as a player.
On the other side of things, I think they are amazing looking. Very clean, light, and strong. Great job on the project and I wish you luck on continuing moving forward with your brand!
yay, got my picks! thx a lot,
greetings from germany!
@Mauro - Awesome review! It's comments like yours that will put people at ease who are are ordering for the first time. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
Naw, I'd ordered a long time ago.. Will do next time tho. Thx!
I got my pair early this week, but could only come here and comment today. I regret not asking for more than this pair.
John, this is an absurdly very well done job. I mean, not only the picks, but the whole thing. From communicating and sharing the project evolution and challenges, the picks themselves, the packaging, everything. Even the envelope, with actual stamp :-) It's been a long time since I last got a letter from a person, not a "system" and it was a good feeling seeing it under my door.
Speaking of the picks, they are much lighter and thinner than I was expecting. I was a bit concerned they might be somewhat thick, but they are just as thin as the ones of plastic I use, if not thinner.
Sharing my learning curve with the pick I confess my first minutes were a bit weird. I'm used to medium picks and these are obviously hard. Also, the holes in its body were not that comfortable between my thumb and index. A few minutes later it's all gone and I'm really enjoying it **a lot**!!
They stay firm when my hand starts sweating (and I do sweat a lot). The cuts in the body, more than making the pick look good, are very functional.
In summary: I'm really, really glad I backed your project.
All the best and hope to see more of your work around!

Did you get my $10 coupon on my website?
Got my four-pack last night. Pictures don't do the picks justice, they are awesome in person. Then I played with one of them for about two hours. The verdict: not only do they look great buy they play great too. Very light but very solid feeling. Definitely one of the best picks I've tried! I'd love to see green anodization as an option. Also, I'd love to see the EpicGrip take on the Jazz III form factor.
They came today. They look great!
@Fiona - Awesome photos! Thanks for spreading the word on the other side of the pond!
@George - Sweet! Enjoy!
@Glonk - Last few packages went out Tuesday... If you don't have them by Monday message me.
@Brad - Yep, Stickermule quality rocks... +1 on the split back tho, those suckers are hard to get started...
@Andrew - lol!
@Gert - Good thoughts. Working on new options... I'll spam when I have something to show off... :)
Still haven't gotten my 4 pack yet :(
Just received my picks and man they look great can't wait to try them out when I get home tonight!!! Thanks from New Zealand
