Frequently Asked Questions
I. Funding goal:
By altering some game components, working extensively with manufacturers, finding excellent miniature artists, and with Divine Providence, we were able to bring the funding goal from $72,000 to $49,000. Should we make our funding goal, we will just break even after delivering everyone’s goods (it’s as low as we could possibly render it).
In the pursuit of lower costs, game balance was entirely unaffected. All Heroes, bonus cards, and the like remain as they were.
II. The following are available immediately:
-PnP (included in backer update #2)
-Third party reviews. (Every reviewer to whom the game was sent LOVED it.)
-Box cover art
-EU & Canada-shipping friendly immediately (and with German and Spanish rules translations in the works!)
Thank you again to all of the backers, project followers, mentors, and other interested parties, who provided so much valuable insight and information. A special thanks goes out to those on BGG.com who offered honest criticism in the forums. We took everything into consideration and came up with a better project and a better campaign. And thank you to all those who outright contributed artwork, graphic design, marketing, and more.

Yes, we do.
Search for rvws on the Kickstarter page to find video reviews from Rahdo, Undead Viking, Board Game Brawl, and others including Geek Dad. They all give enthusiastic acclaim to The King’s Armory.
There you will also find comments from blind play-testers; and some short video comments as well.Last updated:

By this we mean: super-low shipping costs with Customs & VAT included for all possible EU countries, as well as Canada. Search for intshp to see the shipping details chart.
No more secret hidden costs when the postman shows up with a bill. We've put in the effort to get that taken care of for you ahead of time.
Unfortunately, this can not include Add-Ons, as they are shipped separately from the USA, and not by Amazon in the EU.
And we’re not just EU-friendly for shipping; the rules will be available in German and Spanish.
We have striven to provide the best possible shipping rates to the rest of the gaming world. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact us.Last updated:
Minis are available as an Add On. Only $35 for 7 high-quality pewter minis. They are unique, professionally rendered figures at what is now the industry standard size - useable for other games (28-32mm). No plastic toys here. If you choose the Asphar Bonus Tier and/or Epoch Add On, you can add their minis for only $5 each!
For more information, search for “adon” and look at the parchment: Minis as Add Ons.
Q: If the $72,000 goal is reached, will all character’s male and female version have minis?
A: Not as of yet. But if we get feedback that such would be in high enough demand to warrant adding them, we’de be happy to consider making that one of the closely followed “???” Gamer Achievements.Last updated:
Q: Are the Add Ons available to right now? If so, how?
A: Yes! Make your picks, do the math, and "Adjust [your] Pledge" by clicking the blue "Manage My Pledge" button just above the Pledge Tiers on the top right of this page. At campaign end, we will contact you to find out which Add Ons you selected when you made your extra pledge contribution and send them out to you at about the same time as the games are shipped.
Q: Does Flat Rate Shipping include any # of Add Ons?
A: Yes. ALL Add Ons will ship with Flat Rate shipping. Buy 1, or buy all; your shipping cost is $0, $6, or $9 (depending on location), paid one time only. Yes, that includes when buying from multiple parchments, one shipping cost once. Period.
Q: Are Add-Ons EU/Canada Friendly?
A: Unfortunately, no. Most Add-Ons will not ship with the base game, they will ship separately from the USofA. We will do what we can to include as much as possible in the game, thus allowing for VAT to be included, but as it is, many of the Add-Ons are being produced in the USA, so VAT may be an added cost. The good news is that when coupled with the incredibly low flat-rate shipping, it will hopefully come close to balancing out.Last updated:
We hope so!
If we reach our $52K Gamer Achievement, only $3K above our funding goal, 3-D towers will come in every game.Last updated:
Q: Why Pewter and not plastic?
A: Several reasons.
1) Cost. Pewter minis have a FAR lower buy-in cost, allowing our funding goal to stay where it is. Plastic minis would increase our funding goal by $24,000+. That's everything we tried to avoid. Explanation: With pewter, what you order, we produce; period. - With plastic, we have to make a minimum of 3000 copies of everything, up front, or nothing at all. Plastic is only "cheaper" when making a kajillion, and a kajillion is one's only option. Beyond that, there's still lots of good reasons to choose metal over plastic.
2) Pewter is heartier, yet easier to modify, than plastic. And just as easy to paint.
3) Pewter is malleable, making poses adjustable to your liking.
4) Most of us are adult men and women. Many have expressed things like: "If I'm going to play with dolls at my age, they better at least be made out of metal!"
If we hit the $350,000 Gamer Achievement, we will provide plastic/resin minis in every Kickstarter copy of the game while continuing to offer the Pewter & Brass minis to anyone who chooses to upgrade. If this gets hit, and metal minis are also added on, you will get both sets; unfortunately there will be no way to upgrade/swap.
Bronze Mini Fact Sheet:
**You may pledge for them now, and decide which Bronze minis you want after all models are complete (est. January/Feb).**
*Bronze mini's are available with or without a pledge for the game. (if so, use $1 pledge tier, and add your mini's accordingly)
*Bronze minis are real bronze, not a look-a-like; and are solid, not hollow.
*Bronze minis are incredibly durable, you won't risk having weapons break off like with plastic, or even pewter.
*Bronze minis though VERY durable can be posed like pewter ...with a bit of elbow grease.
*Are still paintable... but that's crazy.Last updated:
Kickstarter Exclusives are items that are only being offered in the Kickstarter Version of the game. That means that the commercial copy of the base game, should it enter traditional (or non-traditional) distribution, will not include these items. That means they are special and rare.
As many items we've included in this project as KSE's are from intended expansion packs, they are exclusive to this Kickstarter vs. the commercial version, though we reserve the right to release some of these items in the future via possible expansion packs. (This includes Heroes, Bosses, & Armory Cards not other wise noted below.)
That being said, several of these items are certain to never be seen again, not in the commercial copy, on our website, in expansion packs, or in future Kickstarters. You'll want to get these "now or never". Among these are: "Special Aid", "Back-Up", "Backer Attack" (a Stretch Goal Armory card not yet revealed), and all Level 99 Bonus items. (New partnership opportunities may be forged in the future, but these Level 99 Heroes are 1 time deal. So be sure to work towards them now if you can.)
We've made "Special Aid", the most powerful Reinforcement Card in your deck, reserved to a limited print run, making them extra rare. We will have the amount you can see already, and a few more reserved to distribute to the most popular tiers as they fill up. The cap is 1000 even, which is a very small number for common card distribution.Last updated:
