Even More Stretch Goals!

You all really aren’t messing around. The GM screen is funded. The first volume of Nations of Théah is funded. We’ve added the GM screen to the add-ons and pirate’s booty and we’ve opened up the COMMANDER and SEADOG tiers for folks who want all three sourcebooks. So much great stuff unlocked!

But you want more? EVEN MORE?

Good. Because we’ve got more.

New Stretch Goal ($175,000): 7th Sea Map

If we reach $175,000 in funding, we’ll release the 7th Sea: Second Edition map you’ve seen in the Kickstarter video. Originally I wanted to keep this map secret--we designed it for use around the office, to make sure everyone knew where stuff actually is--but it’s just too beautiful not to share. Mark Richardson did an amazing job with it, and I'd love to see it in print.

All $40+ backers will get the map for free as a hi-res PDF, and we'll create a new add-on for folks who want to add a physical map (roughly 24’’ x 36’’) to their order. We’ll also add it for free to the pirate’s booty, so that everyone who backed at the PIRATE tier and higher will have the map added to their order for free!

New Stretch Goal ($200,000): Nations of Théah, Vol. 2

If we reach $200,000 in funding, we’ll release Nations of Théah, Vol. 2 as a 2nd Edition sourcebook in both print and PDF. All $40+ backers will get the book for free as a PDF, and we'll open up a new tier for folks who want to buy both sourcebooks.

The Nations of Théah series continues! The second volume covers Ussura, Vestenmennavenjar, Vodacce and the Sarmatian Commonwealth!

Tons of NPCs, plot threads, locations and secrets. Everything you need to get your swashbuckling going! Complete the set you already started with Volume 1 and you've got all of Théah in two hard-bound, fully illustrated 200 page books.

      @mike - This is an out-of-character map that shows you where everything is with some scientific detail. We're already in talks with folks to create a map that's more of an in-character treatment.

      I hope the map gets some tweaks and a more artful treatment. I'm sorry but I really don't like that it looks like a google map straight off my phone. It's too modern looking for a game set in that time period.

      @all - There are changes! More will be revealed as we journey outside of Théah...

      The map was made by me, it's all done in ESRI's ArcGIS which is a real world mapping program that I use for my work in my day job and for RPGs.

      Whoah, that is a very different map... Montaigne pushed South, Commonwealth between Vodacce and the Crescent, Vesten connected to the mainland... Although I somehow doubt Ussura's still the most populous nation of Théah given all those rocky hills and mountains. I doubt even Matyushka would make crops grow from frozen stones (note that I said "would not", not "could not").

      I love the map, it was one of my frustrations with the 1st Edition. The map on the endpapers of the players handbook and GM's guide while very pretty were of limited assistance, with the more useful information hidden away piecemeal in the Nation books. All of that said, with the talk of expanding the world beyond just Theah, will there be a larger-scope map offered?

      Well we beat those two, what's next. For anyone who is amazed by this, don't be too amazed. Zinser at AEG was flooded with people trying to buy the license for 7th for 8 years+. BIG offers too. when they ran the April fools back in 2012, they got over 3800 people voting to bring back 7th Sea. We haven't touched half that number yet.

      This is fucking amazing

      Next stretch goals? LoL! The map looks better than ever before!

      Ahoy, give those stretch goals a whiff of grapeshot!

      Going to need another stretch goal or 3, or even better 7. ;)

      Looking good!
      Concerning the map, I hope it gets re-worked. It could look nicer, as some have pointed there are inconsistencies with the map in the video, and also that coast copied from north west France really does not help.

      Given my terrible eyesight, I can't make out more than a few names on that map as pictured, but it still seems awesome. I love "The Widow's Sea"! Gives me ideas, it does.

      Looks like I'm going to have to revise my map again:

      Hopefully The Corridors of Flame are still out there. Always thought the idea of a wooden ship trying to navigate a maze of flame was pretty darn epic!

      @Brian I noticed Numa was described as an island as well, so that will be interesting...

    16. Morgan Rippke on

      Okay, I'm excited for 7th Sea Second Ed, but that map left me with questions. First, what happened to occupied Castile? Second, how did the Crescent Empire lose that much land to the Commonwealth? Third, How'd Vesten go from being an island nation to having a huge landmass peninsula thing?

      Love the idea of a map. Though I hate bringing it up, there's a huge discrepancy between the map shown as the example reward and the one glimpsed at in the intro video. Is Numa its own Island now, or not? When I saw the map in the intro I was wondering if Numa was going to become a stand in for Greece with a bit of historical jumbling/double duty going on during the crusades thanks to the First Prophet's appearance and execution there, but I'm sure you've got your own ideas worked out. Can't wait to see them!

      @John

      Not gonna lie, that map is the first thing I had my eye on. Can't wait for that (But I'm a map junkie, so who's counting.)

      @John and company,

      The map looks great.
      Curious, was the map created in Campaign Cartographer?
