I have written my first book. It's available now on Amazon.
My project is the publication of the hardcover version of it.
This is my relationship to this project:
"Destination: Reinvention" is not some sappy self-help book with trademarked cliches and 5-step cure-alls for everything that ails us.
- just got dumped from your underfunded start-up
- were just informed you are being laid off
- are looking for a second career act
- are a student with no sense of direction
this is a book about what you (or someone you know) are about to go through.
It's a real, raw story about changing lanes, making mistakes, and ultimately fining the answer.
When you back this project, you will help me pay it forward. I will publish the book immediately. It will get me into little indie bookstores where I can hold events and share this true story. I will help people with their own inventions (and reinventions). I will not charge them for this advice.
I help students at my university get jobs and internships.
I blog about work and new career horizons every day.
I wrote an eBook about what happened when it happened to me.
I am deeply committed to this issue.
I've been there. I know the way out.
Thanks for believing. Thanks for backing.
Risks and challenges
The funding creates the hardcover version of the book. I begin publishing as soon as the funding is complete. Since everything else will be in place, I anticipate no significant delays.
I will use LuLu to manufacture it.
If you choose to back the project, Amazon will process your pledge. It calls my business "Broken Glass and Barbed Wire". Rest assured you'll still be in the right place. That was the original name of the book.
Thank god I listened to people smarter than me who basically said, "That title sucks!"Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
