      Hi John
Many thanks for your reply to my question regarding the PDF
I never received an email from Kickstarter regarding this.
I have looked on Kickstarter and don't seem to be able to find the link to download the PDF copy
Any help from yourself or any of the backers would be appreciated

      Hi John,
I too don't remember receiving an email about the pdf download, but I did download the most recent draft today. Thank you, your work is quite impressive and well worth the wait.
I certainly hope two of the photos of Benny will be included with the book, because they are so fantastic. The one in front of the I love you very much and one of you with Benny. They are the best and I really hope we'll get actual photos of you both included.
There's one wording issue that jumped out at me, let's see, it's on Page 11 second paragraph, "I know he does" seemed disjointed and I wasn't sure what and who does... !

You've done an excellent job on this and I can't wait to share it with my friends and family. Looking forward to the final, final book!

Chris Schulman, I couldn't remember if I got the PDF, either, so I went hunting - couldn't find any email from Backerkit about it, but there IS a digital download link in my Backerkit account, so I just now downloaded it. If you go to the "review details" page in Backerkit, you should see a digital download link there.

John, FYI - I really can't remember if I got an email from Backerkit about the download - usually I would save that sort of email and I can't find one. But the link is in my Backerkit account. Hope that info helps!

I am OK with you making small tweaks to correct original errors. It will make the book look that much more professional.
And if you could list my support as Howard & Virginia Baugues instead of just me, that would be great. Thanks for all your efforts John!

So far everything I have seen is amazing.
For me I would love for you to credit my own loved boxer who also has left us.. his name was Jaxon Banton Thank you so much. (We lost him around the time you lost your beloved Benny and your story so touched us and helped us get through such a difficult time) For your story I thank you from the bottom of my heart ...

Loved the mock up.... I thought about the pet name but as a rescuer - Ive lost too many and it wouldnt be right to pick one... they were all perfect and wonderful and lost their way when their bodies failed them due to a past I seldom knew... so - I'll just use my name and hope they all know its for them too... Im hoping they found Benny and took him under their wing

I would love to honor my dog Chance (instead of my name) who passed away due to cancer but I am not sure how to respond to your last comment to backers?

John, it is wonderful. I loved looking at the images and re-reading this beloved story in book format. "Yesterday Was Weird" was beside my chair last winter and I think I read it daily as I tried to come to terms with the loss of my Doberman, Gracie. This will be a treasured addition to our library, and I can't wait to see the finished project! Congratulations!!!

    16. John Pointer Creator on

My plan is to add the appendix, "The Many Bennys," which will include the realistic drawings. I'm going to design it so that after the last scene, you'll turn the page and the real Benny will be looking back at you, then as you keep turning pages you'll see how many different people saw him in their own ways. I want it to read like a story or fairytale, then attach it to the real dog, then let it fly into a rainbow of different interpretations. I feel like that will be really moving and uplifting.

    17. Adi K Khalsa on

Will you have actual photo's of Benny in his book? I love all of the current artwork but the realistic drawings and photo's create a different feel than the cartoon characters. I know it will be amazing when it is completed I was just looking forward to seeing the real side of Benny as well as the cartoon illustrations. I am looking forward to the finished product and I sure appreciate all of the updates and sharing the illustrations with us. I hope that all is going well and that you are finding time for yourself and your music. Take Care!

I reached a point where I had to stop scheduling concerts so I could put my full attention on finishing it. I just finished my last on Saturday. I'm done tweaking the character and am working with the artist on the first few panels. Thank you for your patience. I want to get this out to everyone as soon as I can. It is now my full-time job. :)

Just wondering where things stand on your book project ... I have been following with great anticipation and am so looking forward to the arrival of my book... but I haven't seen any recent updates as to the progress of the book or release date. I do hope all is well and would love to know how things are going. Your story so touched my heart as your situation was so very close to mine I to lost a beloved boxer in very much the same manner and your story helped me greatly. Again I do hope all is well and hope to be hearing from you soon and thank you

    20. John Pointer Creator on

@ Adi K Khalsa: absolutely! My plan is to add some pages after the story, showcasing the many versions of Benny that we've seen since he passed. I envision the story being a sweet sort of cartoon style, with Andrea Gianchiglia's "Benny Watches" drawing and Gretchen Blackburn's "Smiling Benny" as the first thing you see when you turn the page past the last, "I will never leave his side. He knows that."

Then after that, we'll have all the different artists included like an appendix, with their illustrations and names. Then there will be a section for people to write their names, dates, and locations so that when the pay-it-forward books float around, everyone can see who'd read them before, and where.

    21. Adi K Khalsa on

I really liked some of the realistic art of Benny and hope that those will be included in the book as well. The cartoon characters are cool too. I just really like the variety of both. Is there any way that we will get pictures of Benny via a variety of artists or just the one you chose to illustrate Benny's book??

    22. Robin Brandon on

You know, I really think that one of the things Benny hoped for , was to bring more recognition to John's music. I just believe it is another way he is showing his love. As well as building a path between this side and the other. What a great dog is Benny, eh?

    23. Adi K Khalsa on

      This is wonderful!
I am so excited to share Benny's book and his story.

So excited to get my copy and one for a friend who lost her best "Buddy". Benny's story really captures the loss of our beloved dogs....

    31. John Pointer Creator on

There are only about 20 hours left, and I am so excited with this sprint to the finish! The only thing that would make it better would be to reach down, scratch Benny's ears, and say, "Thanks, Buddy. You're amazing." But I think of him with a smile in my heart and am so glad to share this ride with you all. Your outpouring of love and support has been incredibly comforting to me and while Benny inspired the story, *you* have created the community, and I am honored to build this bridge from one side to the other with you.

Please keep sharing the link to the campaign. I want this book to reach as many people as possible, and I think there is still a large number that just hasn't heard about it yet.

      Thank you!

@ Laura Middlesworth: if you want to order extra copies, you can choose a higher level. There are options for w, 3, 4, 8, and 10 books at a time.

If there's a demand, I'll create other levels with different numbers of books. Let me know how many you'd like if it's not covered already.

Thank you Benny's person for sharing the story of the love you and Benny shared, it's helped me so much. It had been a few months after my girl Morgaine crossed the Rainbow Bridge when I came across your page. After reading the story of Yesterday Was Weird I was in tears because it reminded me of before Morgaine crossed her eyes she looked into my eyes as I'm telling her I love her and she will always be in my heart.
      Thank you John !
