Johnny Questionmark - "Falling in Like"
My name is Johnny and I've been making hip hop music for about ten years. For most of that time I was in a group that had the backing of various investors and independent labels. For the time being, the group has taken an indefinite hiatus and I'm trying my hand at a solo career. Records cost money to make. Probably too much.
I've been working on the album for about two years now, collecting beats, writing rhymes, rewriting rhymes, rerewriting rhymes, recording scratch vocals, arranging and rearranging songs, etc. The record is completely written and ready for final recording and I'm extremely proud of it. However, this is my first foray into the hip hop world as a solo artist. I have no name recognition and a limited body of released work, so I have zero label backing and no big dollar donors to help pay for the basics of putting out a record (studio time, mixing, mastering, pressing, etc.). What I do have is a very supportive group of friends and family who believe in me and my music, so I am hoping that together we can raise the funds to finally record and release this album. I think the backer rewards we've come up with are great. It will give you the opportunity to have the first listen to the album, exclusive merch, or even a show at your house!

Risks and challenges
Kickstarter has asked all new campaigns to discuss the risks and challenges that come with completing their projects. Every project comes with the inherent risk of something catastrophic (for example, something could happen to me that would prevent me from using my voice). Outside of that, there is no reason that this project won't be completed on schedule. I have a ten year history of releasing successful hip hop projects that give me the experience necessary to overcome any obstacles during process of creating and releasing an album.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
