Elizabeth Wood, a Sauk Prairie native, softball superstar, beloved Eagle Inn employee, Pokemon enthusiast, John Joseph Coffee spokesperson, and overall fantastic person, has a pretty unique talent. She happens to be able to throw a cow chip with exceptional control and velocity. And boy, she was lucky to be born in the right place, because Sauk Prairie happens to annually hold the Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw. It's a wonderful event, and Elizabeth has dominated it. Besides leading John Joseph Coffee to a 3rd place finish in the 2018 Corporate Throw, Elizabeth has owned the Womens Cow Chip Crown 6 out of the last 8 years (she took second in 2014, and 5th in 2013 (In 2013 her preliminary throw was the longest in the whole competition!)).
Kay Hankins has blazed this trail for us, ten times, a Sauk Prairie World Champion, tried and true. Let's send Liz to re-take our place on the world stage, in Beaver, Oklahoma. Our fund raising efforts will send Liz on, for the first time, despite her many invitations. Any left over funds or funds raised beyond her needs will be donated to the Sauk Prairie Food Pantry!
Let's support a local athlete, on a fun journey west, to bring home The World Cow Chip Throw Championship!
Risks and challenges
Absolutely none. Elizabeth Wood's Rocket Chip is flying straight to the top! All rewards are being produced at minimal cost by the John Joseph Coffee Roasting and Marketing team. The vast majority of funds raised will be proceeds and go to Liz for her journey, or to support local people doing great things at the Sauk Prairie Food pantry. Communication with all backers will be extensive along the way! Go Liz!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
