Genesis Quest is a global network of over 40 scientists and explorers. We’re trying to solve the world’s greatest ancient enigmas, even if that means overturning cherished academic, scientific, and religious doctrines. We’ll deploy powerful sensors and robotic search assets that may soon be the envy of archaeologists everywhere; we’ve lined up several university labs to analyze evidence in a scientifically rigorous way; and we intend to achieve unassailable findings based on undeniable and repeatable scientific results.
But first, a caveat: WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ANCIENT ALIENS. We’re conducting our research in a balanced way, and scrupulously in accordance with archaeological best practices, ethical standards of professional conduct, and international laws. We have no ax to grind; no preconceived ideas to “prove” by manipulating or creatively interpreting or selectively considering evidence to suit our preconceived views; and no bent for cheap sensationalism just to make a buck. Rather, we will apply robust scientific testing and analysis of evidence that has thus far defied explanation according to mainstream views, while digging up new evidence and analyzing that, in a relentless effort to uncover the real truth about humanity’s forgotten past.
We believe that extraordinary phenomena from prehistory—particularly the megaliths, or gigantic stone structures ringing the globe, as well as the pyramids—were erected not by aliens, but by humans. The thing is, these ancient wizards may well have been giant humans, who wielded astoundingly advanced ancient technologies, including powered circular saws, fantastically efficacious drills, and even more amazing things.
These giants, we believe, were part of a prehistoric supercivilization that circumnavigated the globe in remote prehistory, laying the foundations of civilization before being wiped out in worldwide catastrophe. After that event, they were almost completely forgotten, relegated to little more than scripture and legend. They became the Nephilim of the Bible, and the Titans and frost giants of Greek and Norse myth. Most traces of their former existence (including, we believe, their ancient machines) were wiped clean off the Earth by none other than the biblical Flood.
We call these ancient giants and their associated cultures the Global Maritime Empire. If we can prove that they did exist, our findings will prompt a total rewrite of the history of civilization.
And here’s the kicker: We have some of their bones. Will you help us test them?
We’ll publicize the results of our collaborative research in books, on TV, and eventually in movies. If we succeed, our efforts may ignite a global firestorm of interest, catalyzing a movement that could culminate in a deeper understanding of the catastrophist reality in which we live and a more balanced appreciation of our fragile place in a wondrous but fearsomely dangerous world.
In the process, our endeavors—far from being anti-academic, anti-scientific, or (God forbid) anti-religious—could help to unite science, religion, and myth, bringing humanity together while enabling us, at long last, to face the full truth about our forgotten, tragic, but ultimately triumphant past.

Every great journey begins with but a single small step! We first need to import and test giant bones from what was reported to be a 20-foot-tall female skeleton unearthed in Ecuador’s “Land of the Giants” in the 1960s. Results of DNA and C14 tests on these specimens should enable us to determine whether an ancient race of giant humans existed, and if so, where they came from and how long ago they lived.
To carry out this vital first step in our collaborative research, we’re setting a modest campaign goal of just $3500: $500 for import permits, and $3000 for a suite of testing by university labs we have lined up in the United States and Canada to analyze this initial batch of eye-opening hard evidence.
If you can help us beat our modest initial target, we would use additional funds as follows:
For a total of $8500 ($5000 over our campaign goal), we can shoot a fully professional sizzle reel, giving us a great chance to sell our TV series to networks by the fall. Achieving such a sale would give us hundreds of thousands of dollars to support our research!
For a total of $15,000, we can produce a minimal 45-minute pilot episode on the antediluvian giants. This may also help to sell the series, while giving us something interesting to put on YouTube to fuel our further operations.
For a total of $35,000, we can mount a preliminary visit to Ecuador this July to meet with government officials, tour our proposed dig site at Ecuador’s “Cemetery of the Gods,” and shoot topical video there for a two-part pilot episode on the giants, maximizing our chances of putting a hit TV series on global TV.
For a total of $90,000, GQ’s Russian Expeditionary Team, led by the illustrious Nikolay Subbotin, who has appeared on over 200 TV programs in Russia, can complete a tour of the Russian megaliths this summer, providing grist for a separate pilot episode for a Russian version of our series. We believe the ancient giants originated in Russia. Nikolay’s intricately planned, impressively extensive tour this summer could prove it!
For a total of $110,000, we can investigate other giants sites in the continental U.S., including Isle Royale in Lake Superior and the Ohio Valley this coming fall. We have very special, but also very secret, plans for this exciting expedition. If we can mount it, expect to be amazed!
For a total of $150,000, we can commence full-scale operations in Ecuador this August. Besides mounting an archaeological dig there for other giant skeletons, we wish to deploy high-tech sensors mounted on aerial drones equipped with virtual-reality cameras into a cave system said in local lore to conceal a “City of Gold,” which may in fact be a Gold Library, which the ancient Hungarian Arvisura states may contain records representing entire chapters of human experience that have until now been lost.
Accredited Ecuadorian archaeologist Ricardo Hidalgo will lead our search for the ancient giants in Ecuador; he will be assisted by his South American colleagues Ruth Rodríguez and Luciano D’Amario, as well as top North American giants expert Fritz Zimmerman. Eileen Hall, daughter of famed Scottish explorer Stanley Hall (who led the first concerted search for a Gold Library of Ecuador in 1976), will head up our effort to find a Gold Library. She will be assisted by Argentinian explorer and TV producer Alex Chionetti, who like Eileen has braved caves beneath the Amazon jungle in search of records of this resplendent but doomed ancient culture.
If we reach a total of $200,000, by the spring of 2015 we can mount a dive expedition to the Bahamas, led by our marine archaeologist Bill Donato, to assess intriguing evidence pointing to the possible presence there of a transoceanic settlement dating to the last ice age, and possibly built by the giants. Confirming this apparent discovery would again prompt a total rewrite of the history of civilization.
More than $200,000 would support additional GQ expeditions to sites ringing the globe, including the Greek Isles, Egypt, Göbekli Tepe in Turkey, the Bosnian pyramids, the Yonaguni Monument in Japan, Nan Madol, Easter Island, highland Peru and Ecuador, and many other extraordinary research venues. One or two fast-acting top campaign contributors might even buy themselves a seat on our planned flight around the world in a seaplane in the summer of 2015 to examine the global megaliths firsthand, including truly incredible, little-known sites in remote areas of Russia.
Rewards offered to contributors to this 30-day campaign range from ebooks through gourmet coffee grown near our dig site in southern Ecuador to a chance to come along on our epic adventures of discovery and help us penetrate to ultimate truth.

Risks and challenges
Risk mitigation is built into our business plan. We have engaged professional project managers and a senior quality engineer to make sure that our work is done safely and in a way that makes sense from a business perspective.
The nice thing about our narrow initial target is that we already have the bones, they're ready to import, and we have lined up the university labs and reputable scientists (who are not afraid to be named publicly) to test them. We raise the funds, we do the testing--it's as simple as that. The results will point wherever they point, and that's what we'll report.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
