For the first time ever, I'm collecting the entire sold-out ComixTribe mini-series into a deluxe over-sized hardcover collection, also featuring the never-before-released SCAMthology - 15 brand new SCAM stories by a handpicked crew of outstanding comic creators!
With the help of Kickstarter and backers like you, I'll be able to create the definitive SCAM collection, and produce a 256-page, full-cover, over-sized hardcover collecting the 144 page SCAM mini-series, and the all new 100+ page SCAMthology, featuring 15 amazing super-powered heist stories by some of my favorite writers and artists.
The SCAM Mini-series
SCAM #1 first made waves in January 2012, when its first print run of just 777 copies, made available in only 21 comic book stores, sold-out. This initial DIY success helped ComixTribe achieve a Diamond distribution deal, letting us roll out the SCAM series to hundreds of other retailers around the world. Between August 2012 and December 2013, the rest of the SCAM mini-series was released in serial format, selling out at the distributor level.
Now, for the first time ever, we're collecting the entire series into a deluxe, over-sized hardcover collection.
STRETCH GOAL #1 - $26,500 - SPOT UV Cover Treatment - UNLOCKED!
Want a Taste of SCAM?
In the pages of SCAM, I wanted to create a vast universe of colorful cons and crooks, with limitless storytelling potential. While I packed as much action and intrigue into the SCAM mini-series as possible, I wanted to load even more into this Ultimate Collection.
So, I put together the right crew for the job, and assembled some of the most talented writers and artists making waves in creator-owned comics today, and asked them to play in the SCAM sandbox.

>>>Another Backers Only Bonus Coming at 350 Backers<<<
We want to make a premium over-sized hardcover for collectors and fans who appreciate a well made book. Kickstarter has emerged as the single best platform for creators and small publishers like ComixTribe to fund the creation of premium graphic novels.
While we love our retail and distribution partners, ComixTribe sales through those channels alone are nowhere near large enough to support the creation of this kind of book. But with the support of backers like you here on Kickstarter, we can and will make it happen.
Plus, we look at the Kickstarter campaign as a month long online party. I've spent nearly every day the last three years working on SCAM, and now that it's done, I'm ready to have some fun. I hope you join me!
How Will the Kickstarter Funds Be Used?
All Kickstarter funds will be used to pay for the printing and fulfillment of the books and other rewards, and to help off-set the costs of creating this 256-page monstrosity. Should we raise more than the target goal, we'll look at making the book and the campaign even better.
Risks and challenges
I sincerely thank you for considering backing this project. While every creative project has its share of challenges, I’ve taken the following steps to mitigate the risk associated fulfilling this project:
1) The book is complete will be ready to go to print before the campaign ends! I finished the SCAM mini-series in October 2013 and the final issue hit the stands in December. The SCAMthology crew have been working hard over the past year complete this tremendous book. The most difficult and time-coming part of the project is behind us, which means we can go directly to print once funding is secured.
2) While this is my first Kickstarter project, I'll be aided in the fulfillment by Tyler James and ComixTribe, who have successfully funded, and more importantly FULFILLED two successful Kickstarters in the past (EPIC and OXYMORON.) While this is a big project, it's one we're well-positioned to handle.
3) Our printer is reliable! We’re working with Trivision, a well-respected print shop that does books for Image, IDW, Th3rdWorld Studios and more. To date, ComixTribe has printed more than 14,000 copies of comic books with Trivision, and they’ve never let us down.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
