I have a BIG Show coming up in just a few weeks time. I am set to install one of my sand paintings at The Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC. It means a lot to me to have such a great venue with international exposure invite me to share my work in such a fabulous space. If you are not familiar with the space its a circular space with a dome and its located literally next door to the White House. I feel very honored to be invited.
I need funds for is to create a documentary of the installation process and hire the professional help I need to carry the project through to completion. What that involves is transporting myself and my Director and Cameraman to DC and getting the extra memory cards, perhaps renting a lens and getting the professional help I need as well as hiring an editor.
My vision is to create a concise documentary shot with a combination of video camera's and Canon 5D to include time lapse as well as documentary footage perhaps an interview etc.
My choice in crew is Director Leandro Sanchez along with David Griffiths as DP . Back in 2009 we shot a video as a short promo which can be found here.
Leandro and David work together often and I have great confidence in their ability to create a professional documentary. Leandro was also involved and shot the video when I created the Sand Runway for Jen Kao.
Most importantly, I see the value in dedicating myself to the creation of the best possible artworks and delegating the documentation on this scale to professionals who I trust. With your support we can produce a mini- documentary on a modest budget, which then leads to larger projects.
Thank you always for your continuing support of my projects.
