A perfect first trick-taking game for the whole family!
2-6 players compete to collect as many kitties as possible without having the most. Each card has a certain number of kitties on it.
When you win a trick, you get all the cards that were played. If there are any kitties on those cards, they will be points at the end of the round.
Make sure not to collect too many kitties though, because the player with the most does not score points for them that round.
There are no suits in Tricky Kitty, just numbers 1-42. This makes it an easy game to learn quickly, with a few twists along the way. The player who wins the trick chooses if the Highest card or the Lowest card will win the next trick.
There are two special cards that add some extra fun to the game:
- The Kitty Catcher (#31) is negative points at the end of the round. Subtract seven points from your end round total if you collected the Kitty Catcher in a trick.
- The Tricky Kitty (#13) has a special ability when it is played. When played, no matter who plays it, the “High/Low Card Wins” card is flipped.

54 Cards, including: 42 Gameplay Cards (#1 - 42), 6 Kitty Character Cards, 1 “High/Low Card Wins” Card, 1 Tricky Kitty Winner Card, 1 “Too Many Kitties” Card, 2 Kickstarter Backer "Your Pet in the Game" Cards, and 1 Score Tracker Card
1 Dry Erase Marker, used for naming your Kitty Character card each game and for keeping track of score
1 Rule Sheet
As part of Kickstarter's Make/100 project, the Tricky Kitty Make 100 Edition includes the "Your Pet in the Game" option for your animal's photo on a card collage. It also includes the pro box and a dry-erase marker.
If you miss out on the Make 100 Limited Edition or prefer a smaller box version, there is the Tricky Kitty Small Box Edition. It is the same great game, but just the cards and rules in a smaller box.
For those who back the Make 100 Edition, your own pet can be included in the game! (Don’t worry, all animals welcome)
Following the campaign, you will receive a survey to send a picture of your pet to be included in the animal photo card collage. This is optional, so no worries if you would prefer to not include your pet in the game.

Risks and challenges
There are very few risks and challenges with this project. The game is done. It will be printed and shipped through the Gamecrafter. I used them for the last Kickstarter and it went well. The added challenge for this project will be receiving pictures of pets. It will go to the printers as soon as surveys are submitted (or the deadline to submit is passed).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
