For those of you who have been alongside me through my musical journey - we've had a lot of fun and made A LOT of great music. I have so many incredible memories from playing my music around the world and getting to feel the magic that happens when creating great music causes smiles, laughter and dancing. From being courted by some of the biggest labels in Hollywood, getting booked in studio A - while Aerosmith was in studio B (true story), to busking on Santa Monica Pier - music has provided me with an amazing journey. I wish I could say I had no regrets, but there is one thing that I feel I've never successfully accomplished in my career and that is capturing the genuine essence of my music and the feelings that come with it - on a record.
This remains my musical goal - and I have finally found the right producer and team to achieve it.
Quick back story feel free to scroll . . . My wife dragged me out to play golf one day, a chance meeting occurred between myself and multi-grammy award winning producer Paul Brown. The conversations led to a path of musical fate which brings us to why we're here today. I've invested in one track already (the test track - see video) to make certain this is the right direction and investment for my music. I'm confident this is the album I need to make right now and am excited to get my songs recorded with the help and talent of this expert team.
The Dollar Details.
This album will be expensive, and although I will contribute personally, I will still need your help to make it happen quickly. $15,000 is a lot of money to ask for, but it will still not cover all of the album expenses. The estimated cost for the entire project is a bit above that and that's why I cannot complete the album without you.
What's in it for you? In addition to my eternal gratitude, there are a number of different rewards for backers. You can get an advanced digital download, choose from various other reward packages, or even have your very own private Joee Corso concert. Your support at any level means the world to me and will help this project come to life!
My "Sacrifice" EP came out around four years ago, almost five. It’s been so long! Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a few producers, but nothing felt right until I met Paul Brown. The process of recording an album is such an exciting adventure for an artist, but can also be one of disappointment if the outcome isn't in line with the artist's personal vision or the fans expectations. I didn’t want to put anything out until it felt right. At this moment and with the team of musicians that is on board for the creation of this album - I know this is the right time.
Follow the Money
If you're considering giving to the project, I want you to know exactly where the money is going. For an independent artist like myself, we have to fund our own recordings - that means paying for studio time, engineers, mixers, and musicians to play on the songs. All of that adds up quickly! Also, a portion of the money will go toward ordering physical copies of the music - and possibly vinyl - so you can buy them online or at a show! I'm also contributing some of my own funds, so we're going in together on this. I've set the goal of this campaign at $15,000 which is the minimum amount I need to make this EP album happen. Obviously, the more resources we have, the stronger the release will be and the more music we can record -- perhaps even being able to record a full length album. We all know I have enough songs to fill the time!
With all that said, I'm so grateful to be making music with all of you. I want to thank each one of you for every time you showed up to a late-night gig, bought tickets to my shows, drove to different towns to watch a performance, listened to my CD's in your cars, and proudly wore my band t-shirts. Your support has helped me keep the dream alive and given me so many great memories. I can never express just how grateful I am for all my special friends and fans.
Thank you for your love. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for your support.
