Hey JM, any updates? No stress if there's a delay but it would be cool to know where the project currently stands. Looking forward to including Salt-In-Wounds in my homebrew setting!

Danyon, I think you can change it by searching "Salt in Wounds" here: https://www.backerkit.com/are_you_a_backer

So I've had a sudden change of address, is there anyway to change my postage address now that the backerkit is closed?

Hmm, I noticed some omissions in the 5e version of Carving up the Tarrasque Crafting & Alchemy Supplement. When it talks about Forge-Horn it mentions Scur Glue in the Alchemical Goods section, but it isn't listed there. Also, a cost modifier for Low and High-grade Forge Horn isn't in the 5e version. However, it's in the Pathfinder version and never got copied over. Also in the new Material Gomonite, it mentions sonic damage (which in 5e is thunder damage).
I see a few other items that didn't make the transition either Crawling Bandage and Urolith Flux (although without masterwork in 5e the Flux might not have a use so I can understand it being left out). Additionally, Stasis Oil is left out. Not sure if an update for the 5e version will address these omissions, and there might be others I haven't noticed. But overall both versions look well done and I can only hope the remaining books will be of this quality when they are finished.
Also out of curiosity, I remember that it was said the rules for PCs to create all the types of new constructs available for Salt in Wounds will be made, but where will those rules be found? In the Beastiary, the campaign guide or somewhere else?

So for the Salt in Wounds Bestiary, will it be part of the Campaign Setting Guide book or will it be its own unique thing?

@John Hendricks, I think this is a case of runaway success impacting the timeline more than poor planning. He exceeded his goal 10x over and has a lot of stretch goals to write. The steady communication buys my forgiveness. Welcome to KS

Was this project cancelled? This was my first KS, and it has been so long I forgot about it. It shows the ship date was a few months ago, but scanning the comments, it doesn't seem to have ever went out..

Same as CJ: I'm not sure I completed the survey, certainly haven't received the PDFs, and I couldn't find your email address to contact you directly. I'm probably missing all of this in a really obvious place, but I would appreciate some help nonetheless. Thank you!

I like the Mutations but I feel they lean more towards 5e comparability than Pathfinder. Was this intended, or a mishap?
I am Marrow miner level so I should be getting both PF and 5e material so that where me confusion is coming from.

      As for a review of the Mutations material;
The mutations themselves seem cohesive and match up. I won't discuss which are over powered as this is opinion based and is subject to situations.

the Sorc Bloodline does seem a bit powerful, especially in a campaign that relies more on story telling that combat. But these are just my opinions. I feel like the wording in the Sorc bloodline could be better. It is kind of confusing.

That wouldn't absorb them unless they were tossed into it's stomach and digested, which in itself would be a grizzly fate. What you describe would crush them though, but it might also taint resourced gathered from the tarrasque with non-tarrasque blood and stuff.

    40. Alex Jackson on

haha yea don't get me wrong. it's a totally dumb idea that would be played mostly for laughs.

that got me thinking again though, JM has already touched on the brutal criminal punishments with truncation being reserved for the worst criminals. what if they also sentence people to death by restraining them within the tarrasque to be slowly absorbed by the regenerating body of the beast. pretty nasty.

    41. Missing avatar

      Seth Klein on

I think that is an interesting idea, but they'd need someway for the audience to view the 'runners' and that would be problematic. although running around on the Terrasque's hide might work given the critters there and hazardous spikes and stuff underfoot, could watch from the surrounding walls then.

    42. Alex Jackson on

i'm watching Ultimate Beastmaster on netflix and got the idea that something like that could be incorporated into salt in wounds. Could be some kind of life or death obstacle course where people navigate the ever changing/regenerating body of the Tarrasque for the entertainment of the citizenry after the god butchers have carved out a path. Just a possibility depending on the campaign!
