The Final Day, part 1...
The CIW's last day in Lakeland was huge, with ever growing numbers in the march, and a gorgeous rally full of beautiful symbolism...
I did another batch of running around, shooting another 2,800 frames, scrambling up assorted electrical boxes for high vantage points, and even pulling this stunt again for a low one (can you guess for which shot?)
I was going to hold off on sending you any pics, but as I got to the airport early, and the coalition are anxious to send out updates of their own, I ended up doing a first quick edit through about half of what I shot yesterday. So, I'm going to follow the example of other sagas such as Harry Potter and Twilight*, and break this up into two posts.
Enjoy this first batch of images, check out the CIW site for video and narratives.
PS I'm pretty spent, after a week where my body, mind and heart feel like they've been working in overdrive. So while there's still so much more that I'd love to share with you, I'll need a few days to rest and catch up.
*Please note that I am in no way endorsing these media franchises... Hollywood's voice is loud, and has too often distracted our society. Our farmworker friends' voice is just now beginning to be heard... thanks for listening to them!
